I took a small circuit board out of the trash that my hubby pitched. I wire wrapped it in fine silver, it started blinking numbers. I made a wire wrapped pendant out of it and sold it at a local farmers’ market.

My daughter, who now is in her 40’s while on Drill Team in high school, wanted to be a tube of toothpastes for Halloween. So we bought a tube of toothpaste and got a white sheet, sewed it up like a tube and hand painted the graphics on the sheet. We made a hat out of cardboard. It was so fun making it created such fun memories.

Years ago, I had a girlfriend who looked like me…same hairstyle, hair length, body type, everything. When we went out, we would wear similar outfits. This one evening, we went to a club to celebrate her birthday. She was of legal drinking age; however, I was not. I was just shy a year. She was able to get into the club with some of our other friends. I waited outside by the car. She handed off her driver’s license to one of our girlfriends who left the club with another friend. The friend gave me her license, and I was able to get into the club because we looked so much alike! Pretty crafty! :womanlol:

The Craftiest (and proudest) thing my MiL and I’ve done was a Special Olympic Album as a Thank You gift for the Special Olympic coach and his wife when my son was in Special Olympics. There was 56 athletes including my son and each one was featured twice thru out the album for the sports they competed in. When we finished the album, there was 65 scrapbook layouts and was given to the coaches at our end of year party.

We were short on cash and needed a cute table center decor. I used the cheapest paper plate, ribbon, and glue to create bowls, decorated with glittered designs, and filled with pretty fresh flowers

My sister and I used to make mud pies in the back yard. We decorated them with grass and flowers. We would then use the sun to "bake" them. They would actually get dry on the outside and stay wet on the inside. Sort of a new version of a dirt/mud cake.

The Craftiest thing that I ever came up with was one year when I was in school I made a Wreath with dried flowers. It was the best thing that I ever made and I even gave it as a gift for someone to hang on their front door.

I made a 11 by 14 anniversary card with their pic for my mom and dad’s 50th anniversary this year with my cricut. It was a huge hit. I sat it on a easel as a centerpiece.

Anna Griffin, you are a creative rock star and a personal hero – stay on HSN forever, and ever and ever! I use my new Cricut almost every day.

Pictures of the tree costume I made for my son. People kept thinking his costume was a turkey even though I put a bird in a nest on the hood.

I love hearing all of these great DIY stories and looking through the photos. You are all so creative and inspiring!

I made a set of custom playing cards for my sister’s birthday using a set of perforated cardstock, Photoshop, a laser printer, and some clear sealer coating.

Hi Adam, Back when I was in the 8th grade shop class, we had to learn the ban saw. I cut out of wood a nice cat nice size and shape and then choose to paint the entire cat a Dark Blue "LOL" I never lived that down you ever see a blue cat? Still hangs on my wall. My kids were in shock!

I made a 3×5 inch bird house out of foamcore board. I covered it with scrapbook papers. I then embelished it with stamps and colored markers. I think it’s cute, just to set on a shelf or a desk.
