Crafting Show March 8…..????????????????

It’d be great if they could show a wider variety of items from different companies….like maybe a good air-drying clay with paints & cool things to make with it, and some art pens, papers, and supplies from companies like Sharpie, GelWriter, Zebra pens, Sakura, Strathmore……..stuff like that.
Even Crayola is now making “adult” coloring pencils and coloring books, so that could be fun, too!
And Speedball has calligraphy markers that I like called Elegant Writer…..they’re fun to use, and it’d be cool to see that sort of collection on here, as well as maybe more basic calligraphy kits. I think Speedball makes a lot of their stuff in the USA, so that’s a nice thing about them, too.
It’d be good if HSN could go to crafting trade shows, or whatever, and bring us new stuff that seems fun to do……..it’s always fun to try something different!

I would love to see Tim Holtz, doodlebug design, hero arts, my favorite things stamps and dies. I’m so tired of seeing the same companies over and over again!!

Hi Ladies,
I just wanted to pop in here and say hello and say oh yes Darlene Cahill. I miss her too. With that said I too would like to see more sewing machines on craft day. I have 5 Singers. I really do not need 5 sewing machines as I am not a seamstress and I really do struggle when I sew. Unless I pull out Darlene’s Foot Parade and her Book.
Here are two of my singer sewing machines that HSN still carries. I hope for they bring back in the Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine.
I have the item #424-667 Singer Futura Quartet with Value added software.
That was the first machine I purchased here on HSN.
I also have Item #277-730 Singer professional 5 thread Serger Ovelock with project CD.
I am also dabbling in acrylic paints. I do see several here on HSN.
For acrylic paints I have heard these are really nice to work with.
Item #118-7851 Golden Open Traditional 6 tube Acrylic Set.
When I create stencils with my SNC I have a negative and a positive. Now if I am correct here one is called a negative and the other positive. I believe the negative is the stencil and the piece cut out is the positive. The piece cut out I believe is what one can use to as the mask.
I understand that you use the mask the positive to cover over your design to add more color to your project so that you do not get color on the stenciled design. If I am explaining that right.
You can also take that positive mask and trace around it. You can also glue that positive on to a card much like a sticker lets say. To add another design. Hope I said that right
When I cut out things I save them as to when I never no if I can use it. whether it be the stencil negative or it be the shape design positive. Needless to say I do have a stash.
Knitting that would be good too. I think there was a knitting vendor Bean. I myself use Boye.
Item #113-6508 Round loom set.
I have that plus this Item #113-6509
I have many of the knitting products here at HSN.
Well you all have a great day and keep on crafting.
Your HSN friend,
Cupatea

I would love to see yelllow rose scraobook paper have looked for years it just is not out there anywhere . Please Anna I love your products PLEASE BRING US SOME YELLOW ROSE PAPER FOR MAKING CARDS
-
Would like to see some presentations by other papercrafters (card-making but ALSO scrapbooking). Sizzix and Spellbinders would be great. Would love if they could bring in Graphic45 items. Love their collections.
-
Would love to see reusable stencils masks.I don’t know what they are but sound like what I am looking for Trying to find the right stencil that i can make my own words or phrases without printing on stencil paper and using a craft knife or woodburning tool to cut out. There must be something easier.
I noted this item,Hazel & Ruby Chalk Art Kit, Stencil Masks & Paper Bundle, however there was not a video to explain exactly how it works.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’d like to see some of the interesting new items I’ve seen previewed at the CHA in Arizona this year, especially from We R Memory Keepers….Journal Punch Board sets, Penny Rolling Card Dies and their new Clear Cut Punch system, just to name a few. I have nothing against Anna Griffin, but I too got a little tired of all the ego stroking going on last 24 Hour Craft Show. I know it is her anniversary but seriously, tht was over kill. I like Crafters Companion too but found that my order mainly consistered of We R Memory Keepers items.

I don’t mind the hours and hours devoted to Anna Griffin and Crafter’s Companion because obviously both brands are huge money-makers for HSN. But I do have a problem with HSN, because they are major brands, not anticipating the possible high demand for those products and ordering more than enough. This past Crafts Day I ordered but never received the Gemini. When I made an inquire I was informed it was out of stock (I have issues with the way this way handled but I will address those in a different forum). But the Gemini sold out in October so why wasn’t a larger order placed in anticipating for the possible demand in Jnauary? I had the same problem in October when I purchased Crafter’s Companion die sets and cancelled after several weeks without notification from HSN regarding the status (extended delivery is not an excuse for not communicating with shoppers on the status of purchases – I personally think that is lousy customer service. Send a emaill blast to those waiting for a product with an update).
I’m just saying…

No more cards please….

I’m starting to agree with several of the posters in this thread, that there are WAY TOO MANY Call Ins. I’ve been watching a couple of the craft shows from my DVR each day, since the Jan 10th 24 hour special. Clearly I work full time, so have to tape the majority of them to watch at later, more covenient times.
Way too much time spent congratulating Anna on her 7 years, with too many call ins, skypes, cards presented to her, etc, in almost every show I watched. Those are getting old. Spend more time focused on the products, and their uses, and ideas for additional uses of said products.
With that said, I know I’m not the only one that would love to see some Crafting shows on WEEKENDS Please!!!!!

I would like more shows with yarn- knitting, crochet, yarn, weaving, etc
I would like decorative painting items.
I would like jewelry making items and beads.
I would like sewing patterns.
Thanks,
Roomey

Hi Everyone,
Thank you Veepee, for the Singer Sewing lady’s name (Darlene Cahill) – I do miss her!
I personally don’t mind seeing Anna Griffin’s presentation on a regular basis, her designs are extremely inspiring which I seem to purchase more of than anyone else.
I do like Crafter’s Companion and have purchase some of her items
I also like Tim Holtz, but I don’t remember ever seeing him on HSN (I may be wrong though).
A Spellbinder presentation would be nice!
I guess some of these Designers don’t have the impetus to sell their wares on HSN (hence ‘hooray’ for Anna Griffin and Crafter’s Companion).
I tried to watch the Coin show presentation (I use to collect coins as a kid), but it was so boring… I guess “to each his own”.
HSN, please don’t stop the 24-hour Craft Shows… LUV THEM!!!!!

How about more craft shows in general.
You could break them out by categories and show them on their own day and run them on the off months from each other.
Ex:
Sewing, Knitting, and Needle work in February
Paper Crafts, Stamping, Quilling – March
Offer more basic tools – Like the Gemini Plates – Magentic Plates for Cuddle Bug.
Paper of different sizes – like 12 x 24.
I love Anna Griffin and Crafter Companion as my wallet can prove, but there are some many others out there it would be great to see what they offer also.
For me I could do with less coin shows, makeup shows but again I know everyone has their own interests.
