These are great!  There is alot of fine details and it looks like the Scan N Cut did a great job with cuttting them cleanly.  These would cost a fortune if you had to buy them. Well done, CupaTea.

Thank you so much for sharing the stamps you made.  Did you find the Brother Scan n Cut had a big learning curve, or were you able to pick up how to use it pretty quickly?

There are so many things I love about the Brother Scan n Cut when compared to Cricut, but I haven’t pulled the triiger and ordered it yet.  These stamps you posted just might be what pushes me to press the order button!  It looks like the angel stamp has some small details that cut beautifully!

Hemdon thank you for asking. No I did not find a learning curve. I was able to use it right out of the box.

My first cuts where on printer paper and I pretty much read the instruction booklet first and watch Julie Faifan Balzer videos and watch video from youtube. I mostly watch Julie use the snc here on HSN. When she demonstrated the models that they carry here.

I will post more pictures of my stamps and of my Brother scan n cut. The one I have is the most expensive one that brother carries it is the CM550dx and the one with the most designs and accessories. These machines do varie in how many designs you get. Julie uses the CM250 from what she shows as items used to do her art Journal.

From what I have read and come to understand is that the mats lose their stickiness after a few cuts. I do not understand that as I have been using the same mats since I bought the machine the ones I got with it. two standard mats and one low tack mat. What I found out is if you wipe it down with a non alcohol non scented baby wipe it brings the stickiness right back and that is how I have been able to use the ones I have had.

The main thing I like about this machine is that I do not have to have a computer to depend on to get designs and start cutting or drawing or wording. However I can get designs off of the computer via a download to my usb stick. Plus I can write out in my own hand writing and scan it in and cut it out. That is what is so nice for those that  scrap book.

Is the machine perfect no I do not think any machine is perfect. However it suits my purpose. Cuts fabric really nicely oh and it can also score and make the fold lines for boxes,cards etc.

Here are my pictures. I took some pictures of my actual scan and cut and a picture of  my stamps that are really zodiac designs. Yes Hemdon the angel one is really Virgo I guess that is brothers thought of virgo an angel. When I look at my picture it remines me of  cookies.  The one that looks like a jug of flowers with dots is really Aquarius. I have it now turn it so that it looks like it is pouring out water.

I did phase one  yesterday of gluing the designs on to the first backing I am showing you my gemini design remember my tote bag well here is the same gemini design but reduced down to size. with the second backing next to it. I will glue the first half to the second one for a thicker stamp. I also cut all the backing designs out with my scan and cut. Again everything can be made larger or smaller.

Hemdon maybe there is a learning curve you have to know how big or how small you want a design.

You will also see a picture of what the zodiac signs look like in the scan n cut window. I am also showing you the sections of where designs are. Some of my sections have about 12 pages worth of designs. and some only have two or three pages worth of designs. However they do have quit a few designs on each page.

For the lettering it is just like using a key board. You get a stlylist or pointer with the machine and you just type out the letters words and sentances that you want. Make the wordage as big or as small that you want.

Ok here are my pictures hopefully, I also have something like 96 of my own designs saved in to machine.

I forgot the zodiac design picture I will add it to my last post.

Good afternoon all,

Here are the pictures of my stamps I am showing you what my stamps look like after they have been used as a stamp and how they look inked up and how they look after I cleaned them off with cold running water.

I think I need to trim some of the backings back a little as I did get some of the back showing up when I stamped them. I think too a better brand or style of ink is needed, or bigger ink pad or some type of liquid ink might be better. These are not small stamps.

However with the B SNC you can make them as large or small as you want.

First picture is of my stamps inked up, Then stamped and then cleaned in running cold water.

The yellow in the center is a new stamp the sun I know you can hardly tell because it is yellow on yellow.

Hey, CupaTea, I had a product suggestion that you might like. I don’t know why I didn’t mention it sooner! It is the We R Memory Keepers Letterpress Platform Kit. This is the only product I have ever reviewed. I use it with my clear stamps alot of times instead of the stamp block that comes with them.  Since you’ve got me thinking about stamp making I thought maybe instead of mounting all your stamps you might try a repositionable adhesive on the back of some and then stick it to the letterpress and then stamp.  I’ve used the letterpress when I want to stamp with two different inks, so I can use one color, clean the stamp with a baby wipe being careful not to let it move, re-ink with the second color and stamp again. Works like a charm. I’ve also used this method with embossing ink and clear embossing powder when I want that heat embossed look but I want to use my beautiful Anna Griffin ink colors.
