Flower making, Card Creation, Journal Creation,Embossing, Acrylic Painting
Hi there all you crafters:smileyhappy: It will not be long now 4 more days till the Crafting day event here on HSN.:smileyhappy: 2 more days till the community goes to read only posts.
I have been busy making a few things. I have been using my Singer Heavy duty sewing machine and my Brother scanncut. I have some pictures to share with you.
First up is a picture of three items. A paper flower, Two Easter egg designs one as practice and one as a card.
I used my scanncut to cut out the shapes and also to draw and color in some shapes. The practice piece is a larger version of the Easter card. I had my snc draw out and color in the chocolate bunnies and the sentiment. In the Easter card I found a design from out and about the net world and worked it in canvas and then had my snc draw and color it. I used the SNC to write out the sentiment.
The paper flower is a flower design from my SNC enlarged and cut 5 times then folded curled leaves added and glued. As you all know you can make any design any size you want. I just happened to make the flower big.
All paper used is Anna Griffin Card stock. I used Anna’s glitter paper for the Easter Card.
The next picture is of the inside of the Easter Card with baby chick draw and colored and sentiment written out with my snc. Universal pen holder and Sharpie fine point markers.
Next up is my Journal every day book creation. I sewed in the spine with my Singer sewing machine and indoor out door thread. I used 7 pieces of mixed media paper to do this. I then colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers. Spectrum Noir glitter markers and some markers from my ColoRama box of coloring tools. I also cut out some shapes from my scanncut to add to the front of the page. I also used water color paints to color the back page of the book. I am not crazy about the alcohol markers for all over color. That is ok after all it is a art journal.
Next up is my first picture in my journal. I had a leaf design left over and I decide to sew in the veins in the leaf with my Singer sewing machine. I used black quilting thread for the front and green for the back of the leaf. When I was done I went to the back and pulled the front thread through and tied the strings in a knot. I then glued it to my first page of my book drew some flowers with ColoRama Markers and then sponged on some yellow water color paint.
I intend to go back and visit that creation page and do some other things there
Next up is my acrylic painting that I did on the back of my mixed media pad. this I did over the summer for ha ha.
I did use only brush strokes here I guess I was in a tropical kind Chinese mood. Not the Chinese word for Happiness in the top left hand corner.
Last is a request from showing her how embossing looks from my SNC. I did what is called line embossing and I used a design that comes with the embossing kit. I will show both sides as when you are done you can use either side. I can see this being done on leather or faux leather.
Other side
Embossing was done on Anna Griffin Card stock.
I think that is it for now. Hope you all have a great Saturday and see you next time.:smileyhappy:

Sorry I forgot to add the picture of my leaf. Guess you can no longer go back and edit your post.

Hello , oh so very, very nice.. I like your Tropical Night the bamboo plant is really neat. This journal is a great inspirational tool too. If you recall, I have something I would like some help with and thought perhaps this may be a good time to ask.

Many of us keep an article of clothing from loved loved ones who have passed on, a favorite shirt or sweater or maybe a bathrobe. In my case, a sweater from my father. I don’t really wear it anymore as I have become a bit larger than my father was at the age of 91.
-
Here is the question; what could I make from his sweater. I met a young artist who said her and her sisters each saved a favorite shirt of there father’s and made teddy bears but I am not sure how that would work with the knit material. Any other suggestions? I thought the break would give you and readers time to ponder…
Thank you…twizzle3 🙂

Sorry, I am slow and if I take to long my post is lost so I do longer ones in segments. Thanks again! 🙂

you Bear Project is what got me thinking about this…inspiration 🙂

The Easter cards and the flower are really cool! How large is the flower? Both of these couldn’t have turned out nicer. You also did a great job on the art journal! It will be fun filling in up. I’m absolutely in love with the embossing you showed. That would be fantastic on real or faux leather made into a tote. You are so talented and I always look forward to your projects. Craft on!
-
Oh you had me thinking about how this pillow would look before I finished reading your post! Thank you CupTea. Maybe we can start a new thread for folks to give their thoughts to this and not be stepping on your thread, so to speak. Thanks again, CAN’T wait to see what you get down during break! 🙂
You are a real sewing person 🙂

Regarding the smiles, I am on an android mobile device. I have no idea if that has anything to do with it or not. The only other explanation I could think of was someone appointed me Smiley Face Fairy…? 🙂 -
Just beautiful ! Thank you for sharing your craft projects with us.:smileyhappy::smileyhappy::smileyhappy:

Thanks for sharing. You have inspired me to do some spring decorating at my house. :womanhappy:

, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PICTURES! I want to begin with the pics of the SnC embossing kit in the other post. They made it so much easier for me to get an idea of the size of everything in the kit and the embossing pictures here are wonderful. I love the effect and will definitely put the starter kit on my wishlist. Not sure if I’m shopping this craft day but if I do that kit is going in my cart! I love your all your projects here. I’m especially crazy for the 3D flower. I’m going to have to try making one! I still haven’t had a chance to try my SnC. My great nieces were sick and then the oldest had her tonsils out and I’ve been babysitting them since my SnC was delivered. But everyones going back to school on Monday so here’s hoping I get a chance to break it in and have some pictures to post when the community comes back live. Bye for now.

Hi , ,
Thank you all for stopping in and posting your lovely comments. I am so glad you both like my crafting and I am glad that I have inspired you to get ready for spring.
As always it is so very nice to have you both stop by my posts. Thank you again I will see you on the flip side of the 15th till then have a fantastic time and well.
I am glad you like the embossing. I only ran it through once you can go over it as many times as you like to get a deeper embossing. I used the 1.5 and AG’s card stock. I have since cut the embossing out and placed in my art journal.
I hope the kids are better real soon. You are fantastic to take good care of them while they are sick. It is sad when kids are sick.
I am glad you liked my flower. I made several for a bridal shower over the fall.
I do hope you try out your scan n cut. If you cut through the mat then you have joined the club. if you do just tape up the back with masking tape of duck tape and you are good to go.:smileyhappy:
I am going to end here as i am posting up another picture of something i worked on today.
Well you all have a good night and see you on the 15th God willing.
