Cricut Explore
So after 3 plus hours on phone with Cricut, I called HSN and No one has been able to help me set up my Explore. My computer will not detect it. I have tried new USB cables, Different Browsers, Different Ports! I really am disappointed that tech support is unable to help! I am really frustrated ! HELP!!!!

I had a similar experience as noted in my post….perhaps you should contact cricut again and ask for someone to work with your computer. During my call, I was transferred to a tech person who took control of my computer with my prtmission and fixed most of the problem. At least I can use it while they continue to work on a solution…hope this helps

Hi, I just saw your post. I was having problem setting my explorer up. When I call Provocraf, they had to set me up with Chrome. I couldn’t do with any Internet Explorer or Mozilla Fox. Did they try that for you. You can bring up to them.

Well, I am frustrated because even though I was able to set my machine up and even update the firmware, I cannot register it nor can I find the Anna Griffin images that I am supposed to get with it. Getting pretty upset. This process should not be this difficult at all.

Hello HSN Community members. In order to set up your machine, please go to http://www.cricut.com/setup. The set up process will include downloading and installing a plugin for your browser as well as a firmware update for your Cricut Explore. Please follow the prompts given to complete the plugin installation and firmware update.
During the firmware update, your power light will turn red – this is completely normal. After the firmware has been successfully updated, your Cricut Explore will power off. Please power it back on, and go back to http://www.cricut.com/setup to complete the setup process.
Below are some links that will provide additional help with your plugin update.

We’re helping lots of people with their Explore and to learn Design Space on FB in Cricut Lovers Guide to Design Space. We even help you find your Anna content!

I have an answer about finding the Anna Griffin content. I had the same issue. After logging on to Design Space, the opening a new project, click add images. If you search on all image sets for "soiree" you should pull them up. There’s also a little sideways arrow on the left of the page when you’re entering your search term. If you click that, it’ll open a page of additional filters you can use. I’m not looking at it right now, but if you click Printables, you’ll find the images that are now available to print on your printer, then cut through your Explore. Kind of cool! But you don’t need the extra filters to find the AG content.

I am also having problems getting my machine to accept the firmware update. I keep getting a message like: Your machine is working (or something like that), and then it has a (-3). I got in touch with Cricut tech support, who told me to read chapter 10, but I’ve tried everything that’s been suggested, and my firmware won’t take hold. i have the Explore Air, and I’ve tried with AND without being connected by USB. These posts are from 2014 – hasn’t something been done about this problem. It’s 2016!
