Cricut Explore machines > HSN > Please UPDATE Minimum Sytem Requirements Info
Dear HSN Customer Service Reps and Webmaster for content updates.
Please update your system requirements for all Cricut Explore models that HSN sells. The information you currently have listed is outdated as of Feb 2015 when the new requirements were listed on the Cricut.com website – with the caveat that as new features are added to the online only software program of Cricut Design Space, that those minimum system requirements as subject to change.
Many folks are not even aware of just how important – meeting and or exceeding those requirements are (and exceeding is always better)
Since use of the Explore requires that ALL USERS be Connected to the Internet, – in order to get their machines to CUT anything it is extremely important for them to understand:
They need a Fast and Reliable Internet connection
They need a FAST processor on their Computer
They need a miniumum of 4gigs of RAM
They need to use an Internet Browser that works well with Adobe Flash plugin. (which may require they test out using different Internet Browsers till they find the one that works best for them in Design Space and their own systems)
Their user experience with the online only software program Cricut Design Space – is dependent on their meeting these requirements. They may be frustrated working in Design Space if they are lacking in one or more of system requirements. And since Design Space is always going to be a program in flux as they continue to update it and change/add features…it is best to think ahead and "exceed" the computer system requirements.
Many people who have phoned Cricut’s support with issues and frustrations using their new Explores and Design Space, are told it would be best to purchase a NEW computer.
and/or try another Internet browser, and/or Clear your Browser’s Cache.
I am an owner of a Cricut Explore, bought on HSN in Oct 2015. My system does meet or exceed the CURRENT requirements. But I know a new computer awaits me in the future if I want my Explore and Design Space to keep up and work faster and efficiently.
These are the correct CURRENT as of Feb 2015 system requirements
quoted from the online user manual for the Explore which can be found on the Cricut dot com website:
As updates are made to the software, some minimum system requirement
