crafters companion
Quite a few of my dies that I have purchased from crafters companion have spots that do not cut at all….doesn’t matter how many times it is run thru the machine. Also the flower from the last magazine does NOT CUT AT ALL. I have the STAR the HEART and the HAPPY BIRTHDAY that I am having problems with!!!! I paid alot of money, and by the time I used them for the 1st time, the 30 days had expired.

I think these are slippers with a hard sole but I could be wrong.

I am also waiting on the new Gemini electronic die cutting machine coming out this summer. The Crafters Companion website shows some videos on it and says it will launch this summer on HSN. I am probably the only scrapbooker that has not purchased a die cutting machine yet. I think this will be the one for me.

Have you tried the green rubber pad that comes with some of Anna’s die cut kits? Try some wax paper in between the die cut and paper. I have had trouble with some of my die cuts too. I made a “shim card” out of some cardboard and I put it in the sandwich. Sometimes that helps too. Hope one of these ideas works for you. I learn these tricks watching YouTube videos.

I had that issue with some of my dies and not just crafters companion. I just put extra paper in those spots on top of the die under the plate before putting it through the machine and that helped. Sara did a demo on the last craft day where she used toilet paper to get one of the dies to really emboss and that worked great. I might try that next time also. I love the Crafter’s companion products! The dies are so detailed. Try on some old paper with different shims of paper and when you find one that works marke it and keep it with your plates. Hope that helps! Happy Crafting. Also there are lots of demos on you tube and lots of ideas on the crafters companion web site.

I had some issues with the edgeables so I had to put an extra sheet of paper in over the paper I am cutting…that seemed to work for me. have to check the ones that came with the magazine tho. Want to see if they work before the auto ship goes out ;/
