Crafters Companion Gemini Machine Sold but Not Available
I have a real problem in understanding how a product can be advertised and sold when the product isn’t available. I placed my order for yesterday’s special value at 1:10 p.m. The product was continued to be advertised into last night. Crafter’s Companion facebook page indicated that by early evening HSN had found a few additional quantities and to place your order now before the product sells out. I received a “Thank you for your order” email shortly after placing my order.
How is it then that I receive an email telling me that we are sorry your product isn’t available but we hope to receive additional quantities and will have it to you sometime in August? The “hope we receive additional product” statement really bothers me. I could see this happening if I had waited until the last minutes which I clearly didn’t do.
I wish there was a way to monitor inventory quantities for better accuracy. I called customer service to ask what the likelihood of receiving this machine was and of course was given a standard answer read off a screen.

Rec’d my email notice of shipment yesterday and rec’d my Gemini today!! So I believe there really was a glitch in updating their order status as I don’t usually receive my orders in 1 day….. just happy to finally have it, that sucker is heavy!!! :womanvery-happy:

I just texted them again and said machine should be arriving b4 Sat. I ordered other things andthey are all ‘packaging’, too. Said they should all arrive together…we shall see

They definitely don’t ship in alphabetical order and my last name begins with a B and I am not getting one.
This practice makes this my last order from HSN. It is unacceptable to practice business this way.

For those of you that like the Gemini Die Cut machine. Look at the Theresa Collins Die Cut Machine. If you go to Jo-Ann’s website they offer it there. If you sign up for their emails you get a really good coupon offer. There are other places on the internet that offer it for a pretty good price.

I have gotten those kind of emails before and it is so frustrating. I think they need to change their policy and make it so orders are placed in the order they arrived. I too have bought things at midnight before and then gotten the email that they are sold out and hope to receive more in the future. That is totally unfair to do that! I love HSN but there are things they definitely need to improve upon and this is the number one thing in my book.
I’m sorry you aren’t getting your Gemini. I didn’t order it but it looks like a neat machine. I hope yours comes in soon.

I placed my order at midnight as soon as they presented the Gemini, and I also received an I’m sorry email. Not a happy customer at all!!

If this has become HSN’s practice to sell items not available and not to ship quantities in the order in which the orders are placed, then I will no longer be a customer. That is WRONG< WRONG< WRONG!!!!!

I heard them talking about that on air as well and was happy for customers who hadn’t been able to order earlier, glad they were going to receive a Gemini after all.
One thing I’ve asked the CSR’s in the past “Were the orders shipped in the order they are placed?… and was told NO, which didn’t seem fair, then why do I bother ordering at 12:01am then? They didn’t have an answer for me.
I had similar situation with CC yesterday and the previous Craft Day as well. Yesterday was on the Vintage Sparkle Markers, I called in to order them as the automated ordering wasn’t giving me ‘vintage’ as a choice, spoke to a CSR who said they were on backorder until July, then Aug…. but on air the host is telling us per her producer that they have 400 left in stock???… was given the same answer, sorry, but not showing available until August.
My previous order for the markers was the same situation, they were saying they had XXX left on air, but CSR would tell me ‘extended shipping’ until XXX.
If the on air folks are telling the audience they have XXX left to order, they should also let us know if they mean ‘in stock for immediate shipping’ or that “we’re now in extended ship date of..”
Obviously, I still want my items and willing to wait, but would appreciate receivng consistant shipping info when ordering.

I had the same problem earlier this year with a set of dies from Crafter’s Companion. I ordered it before they showed it. Then later in the hour they showed it on air. I had received an email confirming my order. The following day I got the email saying it wasn’t available but were hoping to get additional quantities for a month later. I am starting to think this vendor isn’t always getting the correct number of products to HSN. I cancelled my order, so I cannot tell you if they were able to get the item at the time they said in the email.
