, I don’t think your experience would be great without the use of a smartphone or computer with this item. Your progress and trends are presented in the App and on their website.

Nitestar, the fitbit can be used as a stand alone device to track steps, # of calories burned, sleep, etc. You can still use the inactivity monitor. Linking it to a smartphone or a computer just shows trends.
