CRAFTERS CLUB
Let’s start a thread for all crafters or those who want to be crafters. I am an avid crafter and can try to answer questions anyone might have about crafting. I can always use help on crafting ideas I want to try or have not done before. I’m sure we have some CRAFTERS out there that would like to chat and exchange ideas about crafting.

Cool a crafters club:smileyhappy:
This is what I am crafting right now. I am crafting a green tote bag. It is one of those blanks that you buy at a crafting store. What I am doing is I am using my Brother Scan and Cut and my Singer iron.
I am using several of the designs in my Scan n cut: The zodiac sign of Gemini and the star design and the alphabet. I am doing a test run and really learning how to do this with my Brother scan n cut.
Here is how I am doing this. I do not have fabric to cut out an applique for this project at this time. What I do have is I have the iron Quick fuse frabic sheets by June Tailor that I purchased here on HSN a while ago. They are 8-1/2x11in sheets.
They are white but I want these designs colored. What I did was I went to my word program and colored a few page with the color chart with in the program. Granted it is really a waste of ink and I know it will fade in time. That is ok cause it is just a test run anyway.
At present I have the Gemini twins cut out for back and front. I enlarged them so they fill up the front center of the bag rather nicely. Front gem twins will be yellow and the back of the bag gem twins will be purple. I will cut a few purple stars for the front and some yellow stars for the back of the bag. I will also be writting out and cutting out the word Gemini one in purple and one in yellow. Then I will iron everything in place.
When I am done with that I am thinking of adding in some rhine stones. I do not have any glitter so I will have to use what I have on hand. I also have some small pearls that I could sew on maybe.
Well anyway that is my crafting project for today.
Happy crafting all you crafters of HSN
Your HSN friend,
Cupatea

…just bumping up for those with new thoughts…it’s fun reading.
FYI for those that didn’t know…24 Hour Crafting Event on May 11. And right now, there are a lot of things in Crafting that are free s/h.

I received my Teresa Collins photo album, and 3 kits that included paper, pins, letters, etc for scrap booking projects. Prices on products was reduced but the quality and variety top of the line. I have found a lot of great buys on clearance for crafts.

Yeah for crafters club! Yeah for pyschoMom! Hope you are coming back. Spent half the day playing games and trying to get tickets, browsing before bed and Found This :smileyvery-happy: I have been telling people about the craft deals and ideas on HSN for years and no one I know will watch. I was crafting before it was cool. I have done all kinds of arts and crafts, but I also am limited in what I can do these days. My craft room was becoming my craft house, so I have been downsizing for a few years. All that means is that my craft supplies now fit in my craft room. Look forward to chatting and exchanging with everyone.

Has anyone received their Totally Tiffany products yet?? I would love to hear some feedback on the entire line. I’ve got my eye on the cool storage tote…

For all of you ‘stampers’, there is an excellent new post to this thread that I’m afraid you might miss. It was just made last night by tootieroot but it is on the page behind this one. I think you will find it informative and tootieroot also asks a few questions.

PsychoMom, is everything OK with you? I thought sure that you’d be posting today–Craft Day. I hope that you’re computer didn’t give out or maybe you’re too busy shopping to post. Hope to hear from you soon.

1-2-3 GET READY……..GET SET………GO!!!!!! Are you ready for some "CRAFTING?!" I can’t wait. 24 hours of a crafting girls "BEST FRIEND!" Paper, crafting tools, dies, card making sets! Oh my, what’s a girl to do?????
-
Okay crafters — it’s almost here:
Tomorrow is the 24 hour craft event!!
If you haven’t already, you might want to check out all the great new additions to the craft sale and clearance tabs. Under sale, there is a lot of new Brit & Co, We RMemory Keepers and Project Life.
Anna Griffin fans — tons of her products are marked down under clearance, and they probably won’t last long.
Any guesses about the TSV for tomorrow? I’m guessing the Cinch. We know it’s We R Memory Keepers, but which one of their products??

Hello everyone! Thank you for starting this group PyscoMom. Great and much needed idea! You had mentioned your purchased most of the Anna Griffin new items already. I haven’t been able to locate the new die and emboss flolders she has on the list and the new size paper has already sold out…? Like you, Anna Griffin products are my favorite! I ususally wait anxiously for HSN’s craft event but now I’m starting to re-think my strategy…
Thanks once again for volunteering your time and sharing your knowledge!

Hi Pyschomom,
Thanks for volunteering to assist and get a crafting club started.
I have been crafting most of my life; started out embroidering and sewing curtains/home decorating items. Started paper crafting several years ago; start and stop depending on health issues. Now I’m on "start" but slow and go. Looking forward to March 24; just ordered "Anna" items from her shopping list. Bought a paper cutter that I haven’t heard of (HSN), so hope it works out (my Fiskars is old, in need of blade replacement, etc. and just decided to try something different). What would fellow crafters suggest for a paper trimmer? Joined a card making/sending group through a gal named Sally (HSN shopper). Make and send at least one card a month or send to all on list (get well/hang-in there cards). If you are interested I will get in touch with Sally. Will be watching with you on March 24. Thanks again new friend.

mspaper…I think everyone has their favorite adhesive. I know I do. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to say one is better than the other. There are differences in all adhesives. You have to try them and decide what works for you. I even buy different foam pop-ups to use on certain projects instead of using the ones that come with the kits. As far as the stamping on colored paper, I stamp everything on everything. Have you tried heat embossing with your stamps. That is one of my favorite looks. Google it and watch a tutorial on it and you will be hooked.

Hey Crafters … I was not on here yesterday since my computer was sick. Luckily I was able to fix some of the ailments because my tech is not able to come until Tuesday!!! If I missed anything, I am sorry. I can tell you that all the new Anna Griffin products are available on her craft page for purchase. If you go to her Blog she has a shopping list. I have ordered the new things I wanted. I have to be a little careful about what I buy because of the money, but mostly because of the space. My housekeeper is coming today and we should have craft room finished Hopefully, pictures will be ready next week. If anyone has questions about any part of crafting, please do not hesitate to ask. I have fixed my computer where it is usable. Knock on wood.
