Anna Griffin Oct craft day items arrived but not Crafters Companion

I usually get Nellie’s at TJ maxx or Home Goods – 50 load bag for $5.99. I used to buy small bottles of Gain or Tide for around $5 or $6. Nellies does what they say it does. Clothes are clean nad soft. Even my husband’s  jeans are soft. Target also sells Nellie’s and HSN’s prices are in line with Target. I really like the detergant and will continue to use it. I have not tried the driyer balls or stain stick. what I personally find expensive are those laundry pods.

I have had Nellies laundry soap works very well.  I have washed my sons jeans and t-shirts (he’s a mechanic and comes home wth greasy dirty clothes) and I find that his clothes come out nice and clean.  I use Nellies dryer balls as well and my clothes dry faster and my lint trap has very little in it.  I call them magic balls.  No static cling either.  I have tried that laundry soap to clean clothes with dirt like: makeup on towels and shirts, grease, tomatoe sauce, dried on mud, dirty diapers, chocolate syrup and choc. milk and choc. ice cream. I no onger need to put in Oxyclean with my laundry soap, it works great on its own. I have tried a few different laundry soaps but I finally found the best one and it’s even priced well. 

Since I am in charge of laundry in our house, Nellie’s is all we use. Clothes are softer, fabrics retain their color and no harsh chemicals. Dryer balls are great and last a long time. We are saving a lot of money compared to detergent and fabric softener. Why Nellie’s? People rave about Nellie’s. Read reviews on the internet, not just on HSN. I think Nellie’s is the best. The Today’s Special is a good deal. 

  Thought I’d bring this thread back to show what I found out about washing soda at the grocery store.

  Must admit I was curious.

  Yes the grocery store I go to the most does carry a 4 lb box or washing soda for $4.99     I neglected to see if the ingredients were the same or different than Nellies.

  BUT Nellies you use 1 tbsp yes that is a scant 1 tbsp of washing soda/laundry soda per load.  

  The box from the grocery store was a pretty big difference there.  My memory is not so great anymore but it was either 1/2 cup per load or 1 cup per load.

  To me, thats just about like using 1/2 c to 1 c of detergent!

  Thanks for giving the info about in the store and I will keep that in mind for emergencies.  But I do like only having to use 1 tbsp of Nellies and it gets the clothes clean and fresh.

  Will have to do some more checking on the lamby balls.  

? Thank you for bringing the topic up about Nellie’s. I purchased this product and the dryer balls about 2 years ago & used it for a couple of months. The dryer balls I got were the green ones that you put the sticks in? I loved the sticks, they were lavender. The only bad thing was the end caps kept coming off while in the dryer & the sticks would fall out & then HSN didn’t carry the refills of the sticks. I believe I am reading that a lot of people use the lambs wool balls instead now?

Here is my question & I am hoping I get some input as I now see that you have been using it & others I know. I was using it per instructions & liked the idea that it was all natural & loved the look of that tin can ( I know, corney) but anyway my husband came home one day & complained of his shirt smelling bad. Then I went & smelled my towels as I had noticed some were starting to smell like mildew. I always take my laundry out of the dryer right away & fold it so no way do I let it sit in the dryer wet to cause it to get stinky or mildew. So, after using this product for months I ended up grabbing all my clothes, towels, literally (yes, we hate that word lol) everything & re washing it going back to Tide.

Can anyone figure out what may have happened? I am very immaculate & as I said, I do not let clothes lay in the washer nor do I leave them lay wet in the dryer before drying them so I can’t figure out why I got such bad results from this product. It totally turned me off to Nellie’s as well as recommending it to anyone. At the time of first purchasing loved the concept of price point as well as being more healthy to use. I appreciate any & all who comment. Thank you. 🙂

, I’m very sorry your orders were impacted by the systems issue at our warehouse. I checked your account and see that the 10/5 orders that have not shipped were fully refunded. Unfortunately, I don’t have any further information on their status.

I see that too now, but I didn’t even get an email about it. Does this mean they are not sending these things? Even though some are still listed as available on HSN? I’m sorry that doesn’t make sense. I’ve really been patient with you guys but I expected better from you. At least an email! Sorry!
