nana… It’s complicated, *lol*. Sometimes, HSN sends them to your Email Address. Sometimes, they include them in the Shipping Bag from an Order you placed. Sometimes, people get them from scanning the various ‘Coupon Sites’. Sometimes, they post them on the HSN Home Page. Which is why people start Coupon Threads, like this one, so that everyone can see in a glance what Coupon Codes are out there.

From the Home Page, if a ‘Coupon Code’ is posted, it will look like this—>

Once you have a Code, you will apply it during the ‘Order Review’ phase of Checking Out—>

On the Order Review page, scroll down to—>

Type in the Coupon Code and click APPLY. One of two things will happen. Either a little box will come up and say that the Code has been applied, OR, you’ll get the dreaded big Red box at the top of the page that says—>

In which case, you won’t get the Discount., (at that point, you can either continue with your purchase anyway, or ‘Remove’ the Item from Checkout).

HSN almost always has a stipulation in their Discount Coupons that states, ‘For Select Customers Only’. To date, no one has been able to figure-out just WHO is a Select Customer. Sometimes, I get emailed a ‘Select Customer’ Discount Code, sometimes not. Thus, sometimes I’m a ‘Select Customer’ and, at other times, I’m not. It’s a total PITA.

In any case, there have been many complaints about this to HSN Management, (particularly from our beloved kemiqueen), and they say they are working on revamping their Discount Coupon criteria. Alas, we’ve yet to see any changes.
