Rec’d my Joy/Iman cross body bag today
I got it in blue and I really do like it. The zippers work smoothly and it has lots of room and organization. The only thing that concerns me is that it is relatively heavy, even when empty so I am not sure it will be comfortable once all my stuff is in there. The blue color is really nice and the bag does seem to be made well. I will put all my stuff in it and carry it for a couple of days to decide if the weight will bother me, and if it does, I will sadly return it.

Glad to hear an opinion on it! I have it coming in spicy gold for summer. I may carry it now for a week or so to make sure that everything is sewn well and that it can hold up to everyday wear and tear.
-
I ordered the blue too – it will be here today – can’t wait!

Mine’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I got blue too. I was going to order the blush but was concerned about dye transfer, since I wear jeans almost all the time.
-
I hate to hear that it’s heavy. Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I ordered the red/burgundy. If it’s heavy, it’ll go back. I got away from heavy bags and downsized this year. The organization looked wonderful. I carry two Lugs bags now that I absolutely love. Stay tuned!

trixi888……. isn’t that blue beautiful!

I got my bag today in the equestrian cognac. Very nice color. This bag is my first Joy and Iman item. I don’t feel it’s heavy on it’s own. I’m sure as I put stuff in that weight will be added. Leather is always heavier than non leather bags. I’m not certain that the strap and tassel is made of the same leather. The leather on the bag is smooth and has a soft feel to it. It appears to be worth the TS price.

I ordered several colors but only the gold arrived so far. It is beautiful. I just love the size and it looks like it will be convenient when out and about. I have to say, though, that mine doesn’t have that leather smell at all.

My spicy gold came today, and I like it. The gold hardware looks good with this color. Now…is it Coach or Michael Kors quality? No. But is it worth the TS price? Imo, yes. I don’t think it’s heavy, and the storage and arrangement are amazing. My zippers work smoothly I think it looks just like what was presented on TV and my iPad concerning quality, color, leather texture, and lining. This photo doesn’t quite capture the true color, but it is kind of the color of dull egg yolk.

Received my River Blue bag today, really pretty shade. It weighs just under 1 1/2 lbs. empty, about 3 1/2 lbs. with all my stuff in it including my wallet and change purse. The mirror has protective plastic on both sides. You need to bend back a small part of the frame so you can grab the edge with your nail to peel it off. If you don’t remove it the mirror looks scratchy and you can’t really see much.
I switched from a 10 oz. baggallini, so this will take a little getting used to. I’ll see how it goes for the next 6-7 weeks or so.

I got mine today – caramel camel. It is quite lovely, but after watching the presentation and having the bag in my hand, I can see now why this purse solicited so much snark. It would not get the reception that it does if the presenters would not exaggerate so much. With that being said…
No, this is certainly not Gucci or LV – it’s not even on par with Coach or Michael Kors. What it comes close to is Banana Republic or the non-Italian, unbranded leather purses at TJ or DSW. And for the TSV price point, that’s really what I was expecting.
The quality of the leather is similar to Mundi or Buxton. It’s lovely and buttery smooth, but not as thick. I think it will hold up though.
The true strength of this purse is in the design and organization – which is what I bought it for: the pockets. The beautiful design is quite a plus, too! I googled leather organizer purses and could not find one as lovely. The ones I could find were quite hideous (think mullet hairstyle) and only had 3-4 pockets. This one is lovely with its classic silhouette.
The craftsmanship is not great, but not bad either. The leather is smooth and the stitching even. It does have some string ends showing here and there, but I tucked them in. The lining is a bit thin, but not as thin as cheaper bags. The zippers work well and sit straight. The Joy&Iman bar I could have done without, especially since its crooked, but I wear it facing in anyway. The gold hardware is pretty and not too bright – the color is just slightly more yellow than my Bellezza jewelry.
Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised with how much I’m liking it. It has some weight to it but not as heavy as a Dooney (sadly why my Dooney is in the closet). The straps are the perfect length for me and worn with the strap at its longest, cross body, it falls right at my hips. I’m 5’2. Measuring from the top of my head down, my natural waist falls at slightly above half my height.
I’m looking forward to carrying it around during the holidays and do hope it will last. I have a feeling that the strap will get the most wear, but it can easily be replaced with a gold chain belt. I mainly bought it as a travel purse, but am going to put it to the test. It’s a keeper for now.

Might be a nice bag but I don’t like the logo on it. No logo. Color options were really good. Is the leather a nice smooth real leather or does it have a plastic like feel?
-
I wish they get it back in stock so I can exchange it for another color. I got it in the lavender berry but it looks like a hot pink color.

Thank you for your information:)
This is very helpful:)
Peace and love,

The reviews are still pouring in…many of them negative. Other than the gusset not going all the way down to the bottom, I felt like the presentations showed most features of the bag. It was shown multiple times that the open areas are for tablets, phones, etc. And people are complaining about the gold hardware. I don’t get that at all. Could they not see that it was gold when they were watching the presentations or looking at the item on their devices? Complaints about the tassel…good grief…again…it was shown in every photo and presentation! It would be nice if it had a double zipper, but then again…anyone could see that it didn’t before it was ordered. I just don’t understand people. We’ll probably be lucky if it is ever reordered or even revamped with all these complaints…all because people don’t study photos or pay attention during presentations. I mean, good grief…this was a $50 bag…what did people expect? Now…a crooked name plate, zipper issues, something not sewn correctly…that’s different.
I wonder what they are doing with all the returned bags. I would love to pick some more up at a discounted price. I’ve read that there is an HSN outlet “somewhere,” but it is certainly not near me.

Mine had a crooked nameplate, but it wasn’t enough to make me return it. I’m still keeping mine. ??
It is sad to see all the negative reviews though. I think they were oversold by the presentation and expected way more than what it really was. And it seems that a lot were just wowed and perhaps bought on impulse, not really understanding that the purse was an organizer.
One review suggested taking the pockets out so they could fit a wallet in there… I guess they didn’t read the description or heard something different in the presentation. Any other purse out there would fit a wallet and sunglass case, etc… the pockets are what make this purse!
And the holes – I knew about the holes before I bought it. It was shown during the montage with the different models showing the colors. The model with the camel color had the purse opened wide and from the angle I could plainly see that the cloth connecting the inner sections didn’t go all the way down. I guess I’m just really observant as it seems others didn’t catch that.
Oh, and the leather… so many slights about the leather. It’s a $50 purse… unless one is buying a used/vintage luxury purse, there is no way a $50 purse this size will have top grain leather. It just… no, just no! This is most likely second grain or split leather, but for the price, it’s nice enough.
Hopefully, more of us who are pleased with the purse will chime in and this thread will be noticed. It would be nice to have this purse back. Or at least one that is closer to this size. The previous J&I purses were just too big for me.
