Joy’s Readers TS Item 517-128 My Thoughts
We (including me ) often post about items we have purchased and disliked or were not pleased with .
I want to say this, I have ordered Joy’s readers many times over the years . I have her readers everywhere in the house , in the car and even in the garage . I love them!!! They are absolutely the best readers I have ever found at any cost .
It is true they run way from home rather often and never return….. I have three sisters that love them
That being said , this TS is a great buy , very fashionable shape also .
This is one JM product that is awesome .
YES this is the best of the best in my opinion.

Couldn’t agree with you more diva. I ordered the TSV Joy Readers also. And a year ago or more I ordered the TSV glasses and put them in every room of the house . And my purse, and my car. My kids are old enough now that they need glasses so they come over and use them and I never see them again . Two of my kids are in their early 50s and the youngest is 33 . Two in their 40s! so they’re all aging and loving my glasses from Joy . Now I’m going to have two pair in every single room . The readers are just wonderful and I always use these rather than my prescription glasses. Also love the computer glasses for eyestrain #Sassy

I agree that these readers are a tremendous bargain, and they work so well!

Thanks for posting as I have wondered about them for a while. The ones I use now with plastic lens seem to get a film on them for some reason and I have been wanting to try these.

My readers delivered today . I LOVE them !

I love the newer up to date frames. I have prescription glasses and wear contacts . I seldom wear my $600 RX eyeglasses… I mean like almost NEVER. I wear contacts and when I take them out to clean, I wear Joy’s readers .
It works for moi

I don’t like these. The frame size is so much larger than the ones in the past that you can’t put them down your nose and look over. You are “trapped” into looking through the larger lens size. Wish she’d bring back the smaller lens size:(. Anytime the sunglasses frames are offered the location of the additional lens insert is in the wrong place. There’s no beating RX eyeglasses, but these JM readers in the past are a life-saver.

starting to get cold feet..I wear perscription glasses.. Progressive, and a computer which i have a new perscription..
I really cannot figure my reader magnification.. Have a early stage of Cataracs….. Also have astigmatism in both eyes… My latest exam showed my left eye got worse…
So maybe i should cancel.. my main interest is the computer, also maybe the transition ones…
Seems like a good buy… Good reviews but wonder if any one that has them also uses perscription ones as well…
Okay getting close to midnight so i have to decide soon to cancel..

Disco – The way to read your prescription to determine what readers your need – take the no. of your minus and subtract the add-in (the NV on the script). That should tell you what strength to get for instance this is mine DV OD -0.75 (distance)
DV OS -0.25 (distance)
NV 2.25 (near vision)
I subtract the lowest minus from the 2.25 and get 2.0 and I ordered 2.0 readers. The 2.0 works better for me than using the minus 75 number. Hope this helps.

Did order the Ts for the first time…. I do wear perscription ones… Progressive, and have a pair for computer….
I hope they work.. Did order the 3.50 ones… Not sure i did order the right strength? Did get a pair of progressive at vision center in my area…
Paid a heck of alot for them…Over $700 and not too happy with them…
I have several eye issues… My Opthamoligist told me i have an early stage of cataracs.. Also have astigmatisum in both eyes… Left eye did get worse….
Very sensitive to most eye glass frames..Hate wearing eyeglasses..
Wearing plastic ones for progress… Semi rimless small metal for computer…
Live in a rural area, not much vision centers to go to…
So i am taking a chance trying JM’s for the price….
Does anyone here know how to read eyeglass perscriptions?
If so i would appreciate knowing…

I haven’t tried them. But a few years ago, I gave a set of the men’s readers to my brother-in-law, and they were a hit. He kept borrowing my sister’s readers, bling & all, to read the menu when we would go out to eat, so now he has his own.
