In over my head
I cannot keep with my monthly payments because of major life change / illness
What should I do? Does HSN work with people to pay their balance off slowly?

No. Once you have made a purchase, be it a car, home or item of clothing the manufacturer gets paid and transaction is closed ( after return time expires).
Dynac gave you good advice. Best to call Comenity Bank before any deliquncies occur, and plead your case.
I think you have a good chance of cutting a deal. Honesty is the best policy in this case. Good luck and God bless.:womanhappy:

So sorry you are going through this.It is so stressful to have money issues and a health issue added just makes it terrible..HSN can not do anything regarding payments and issues with the card..First check to see if you may have the security protection on your account with Comenity Bank..
Sometimes we are paying that dollar or three extra each month without being aware of it.Its like insurance to cover your payments when something like this happens unexpectedly and payments can’t be met.You would have to send them proof of the issues you are having and the payments would be covered until you could begin paying them again..IF you have that coverage on your account..
If not contact them as soon as possible and most the time they can and will work with you but don’t wait until its in chaos before you try to set something up.The quicker you act on it the better..Hoping things get better for you soon.

Call Comenity Bank, and explain the situation to them. I got a waiver on a couple month’s payments without having my interest go up or any penalties when I was battling cancer. This was about 10 years ago. Be prepared to submit proof of your hardship to them, like a note from your doctor(s). Good luck!

I’m not so sure they’d put your call on the air. HSN wouldn’t want to make others think they could get into financial trouble using the HSN credit card.
You should call Comenity to work out an arrangement. They consider you in default if you don’t make a payment when it’s due.

, WELCOME VISITOR. Glad to have you join us here in the Community. I’m so sorry to hear your news. I pray that you can get on your feet, and overcome your financial burden and illness. If you were near me, I’d give you a big bear hug. Kim, maybe you should call into HSN on January 21st and try to talk to Suze Orman, Financial Adviser. She is so smart and she cares to always ‘HELP PEOPLE’. See if by chance you can talk to her live on the air during her airing and maybe she can guide you. Also, maybe call and speak to Customer Service and ask them to guide you to the right department to address your problem. There is someone out there that can help. Hopefully, I could be of some comfort and assistance to you my friend.
GOOD LUCK, TAKE CARE, AND GOD BLESS.
