Please join me in standing up for COUPON EQUALITY!!! The purpose of this thread is to put a stop to customer discrimination. Please share how the current coupon policy has affected u and your shopping experience w HSN. Choose your words carefully, as I would like to share this with Corporate.

I have shopped with HSN since 1994. I remember getting one coupon for 15% off one item.
I do not consider flex-pay a “goodie”. Would you really put– for example 6.99 on your credit card–? If you really understand the rules and understand how the credit card company bills you, I think you might wonder why you pay monthly interest fees if you pay off that flex pay every month. Nope, it’s a boon for HSN. I rarely use the extra flex unless it is something higher priced.
What about free shipping. Watch the prices and lots of times it’s included in the price. I do appreciate the free shipping and look for that religiously.
I love HSN. It has helped me acquire items I would never have otherwise. I am a loyal and faithful shopper. I have also gotten some of my friends and acquaintances to shop there.
Yes, I would like a coupon.

I agree with the idea of rewarding existing customers. Businesses love new customers–but it is the
established customers who cost the least and spend the most consistently. We generally have
the best ideas because we see how things have been done and what’s been successful and what
has not worked.
Give us a break!!!!

I think HSN should be rewarding its already exsisting customer base with coupons..I look on my credit card statement/charges and it is only HSN purchases. Instead of trying to woo new customers in with 15% off that will probably be used once, give your valued customers the discount. The game “Spin To Win” used to give winners free shipping codes and 15-20% off codes. I would play everyday and guess what..I bought everyday..using those codes..It is the oldest marketing trick in the book but somehow HSN won’t offer it to us. Guess what HSN, you don’t have to woo us because your loyal customers are already here…Reward us please, pretty please!!!!

And all this time I thought HSN did not like me – ah ha. I just received a card inside a package I had ordered. It is about the size of a credit card. It reads, “BECAUSE YOU’RE AN HSN CARD VIP!” and then says “15% OFF WITH CODE XXXX” SINGLE ITEM PURCHASE. I am not putting in all those caps – that is the way it is written on the card. I then turned the card over, I had to fetch my reading glasses, and I’m sure you all know all the things that are written that I cannot use the card for. Interestingly it says I must use it for a Credit Card purchase. Well that is kind of a funny thing because I don’t have an HSN Credit Card. I even went and checked under my means of payment and there is no HSN card listed there. Come on HSN, you’re coupons and discounts are a joke. With the increase in shipping costs what good is a 15% or 20% discount doing me on one single item? That won’t even get me free shipping!!! Your coupons are not fair to everyone that has been supporting you for many, many years. And no I didn’t get a birthday discount either. For the first time in 30 some years you actually sent me a “coupon” but I can’t use it because I don’t have your credit card and reading the back I can’t use it for wine, a Dyson product, large appliances, etc. and etc. Why don’t you give me a coupon a couple times a year for 20% off an entire order on a day I choose? And stop with all the things I can’t use the coupon for. You hand us a gift in one hand and take it away in the other. You really don’t care about all of us that have been keeping you in business for nearly 40 years.

I did get a coupon (mailer) and misplaced it. CS can’t tell me what the code was, said they didn’t know. I’ll just wait for a new coupon is all.

I just tried to use a coupon on my purchace. The coupon was invalid for me. I called, talked to a rep. and was told that indeed the coupon was invalid for me. I was also told that a coupon for me was valid in June, and another month. ( I forget the month). I was told that there was no cupon valid for me. I told her that I never get coupons in my packages, or e-mail. I was told there was nothing she could do for me, but thanked me for shopping here, and to have a nice day. I would use a coupon if I ever got one. I am about done shopping here. I spend plenty at HSN, and have for 18 years, but I think its time to move on.

Now I’m curious. I’ve never received any birthday coupon either after all these years shopping with HSN. For those who have what do you get? Is it good??:womanhappy:

I am a bit befuzzled at the whole structure of the coupon program. I have heard about birthday coupons though I don’t recall ever getting one. I believe I had a coupon card once with my regular orders. It seemed up until recently that there were fairly regular coupons available to all with the usual resistriction on ts, clearance, etc… but that seems to have stopped. Coupons used to get me off the fence on whether to buy or not and were a true incentive.

HSN, please do not post coupons on your website and put in the fine prints for “selected customers only”. If you do that I want to use the coupon but when it doesn’t work and i contacted customer service, I was told it was not registered to your account, therefore it is not applicable to me. This is NOT FAIR to all of us who are “not selected customers” when we too buy from HSN.

HSN has never sent me a birthday coupon . I should qualify , I am a customer and have a birthday every year . How does one qualify and another one not qualify ?
Maybe I buy too much?

Thank you Kemiqueen, I do try to remember to check my alerts every day after I have purchased something because like you I do keep almost everything I buy in my favorites for just that reason. I have found that sometimes the price is only lower for one day or maybe even a few hours, so I call immediately now and don’t wait just in case it’s only a few hours. I used to think its lower now I can call later or tomorrow or whatever but once I bought a roman glass ring then it popped up on my alerts so I looked and it was about $30 less so I called right away, at first the rep had trouble finding that price in her system) and asked me where I saw it so she finally found it (if memory serves correctly she actually had to get out of her system and go to the website just like we do to see that price, which I found odd) and refunded my original method of payment.
The next day I looked online and it was back up to the price that I had originally paid.
Oh and that thing with my son was just one of those goofy things that I needed to walk him through in order to get the maximum savings, because he was going to sign up for ebates at the same time (win win for both of us??). So with all of the discounts the item would have ended up costing him about $6. Now the best he could do would be about $22. So I think he has decided to wait.

I receive monthly discount coupins from Kohls. I also receive Kohls cash with my purchases.
Since I am a M V C, I get extra discount shopping days.
I always get Kohls Dollars for my birthday.
I have returned very few things to Kohls. I have never, ever been hassled about a return at Kohls.
