1/6 TS – Hunter EcoSilver HEPAtech Air Purifier 3-pack 512-079

This air purifier appears to be a good product and a great price at $199.95 for the 3 pack with up to 5 Flex Pays. On the Hunter site each one sales for $129.99. However, the filter needs to be changed every 6 months and this item is expensive – 1 for $39.95 and a 2 pack for $79.95 (also on auto-delivery) with NO Flex Pays. A 2 pack really? – I believe, it should have been a 3 pack to equal the number of air purifiers purchased.

Right now, I am on the fence as to whether or not I purchase this item, leaning to the “not to purchase” side.

What are your thoughts on this product?

You can buy pre filters at any Home Depot or other big box stores. They are much cheaper. I’ve done it many times. You’ll need to cut to fit but if you keep the first one and then you’ll have a stencil.

Now please correct me but is the main filter permanent? I thought it was?

I am dissuaded by the cost of the pre-filters! Further they should be changed every 6 months. They are $40 a piece. So, that’s $120/6minths or $240 a year, every year.

That is a very expensive. The spokesman downplayed the filter cost as ‘nominal’. So, I was expecting something like $6-$10 bucks but $40??
