My favorite Holiday

My favorite holiday memory is when my family and I were together for the first time in 5 years due to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, my sisters and I went to four different cities. One sister and her family went to Denver, one to Birmingham, one to Houston, and me and my family ended up in Fort Worth. We all kept in contact via phone and facebook. During that time it was very hard and trying for my family. In 2009, I called one sister, and we call the other two sisters on conference call. During the call I asked if everyone would be in agreement to come together the following year for the holidays, and they all agreed. It snowed the following year really bad, and I thought that the plans were going to be cancelled. But too no avail everything worked out great. The sister in Denver and her family flew to Houston along with the sister in Birmingham, and they all drove to Fort Worth for the holiday in the snow. That was a very special holiday! As some people say: Christmas is a time for miracles and family.
