Most recent GloPro TSV – any results/comments yet
I’m searching the forum and only see comments from last year. There are a few reviews, but am looking for more info.
I’ve used it twice now and am not sure it’s a good thing, BUT I don’t know if I’m doing it too much or too hard. I went back to the video and it talks about 1 minute. Is 1 minute suppose to be for one location or your entire face. Instructions also say roll each area 4-10 times changing direction each time. So which is it??
My result was oval splotches of redness under my eyes/above my cheekbones (I am using the eye roller). I also rolled my neck and it was also excessively red. My neck was really itchy the second time…I think I used the glopro product. (From other comments that might not have been a good thing.) The red/splotches continued into the next day…so more than 24 hours later still red. I’ve had mild fraxel..the red splotches look like that!
Any thoughts/experiences would be appreciated!

If you want to read a lot of good information on derma-rolling go to OwnDoc (usual before and after). Redness and dry/flaky skin is normal after derma-rolling. You must keep the skin moisturized really well after the treatment. The best moisturizer is something 100% natural. Argon oil is a good choice. Also a very mild cleanser should be used also. Nothing abrasive should be used. Do not use anything with retinoids or acids. Do some research on this type of treatment, read up on it. You could do damage to your skin if not done properly. Most of all you need to use the right moisturizer afterwards.

Another good read on Derma-needling is by Sarah Vaughter: OwnDoc: Dermaneedling (Dermaneedling Instructions) if you search Google you can find a PDF that is downloadable.

Potential Derma Roller Side Effects
There are some things that you should do after a treatment to avoid side effects:
The area will be red due to the inflammation that’s responsible for the induction of collagen. Usually, this will clear up within a 24 hours when a 0.25mm roller is used, but it could last for as long as 2 to 7 days with longer needles of 0.5 to 1.5mm.
Do not treat your skin until it is fully recovered. ONLY use 0.5 to 1.0mm every 4 to 6 weeks.
Dry skin may occur due to the lost of skin’s moisture.
Do not use skin toner after a treatment to avoid further irritation.
Do not apply topical product with irritating ingredients such as glycolic/salicylic/TCA acid, etc.
Do not apply topical product with toxic ingredients such as hydroquinone, etc.
Avoid invasive treatment (laser/chemical peel/microdermabrasion) until your skin is recovered.
The skin will feel tender and tighter to touch.
Do not pick your skin or use a facial scrub until your skin is fully recovered.
Your skin will take on a slightly reddish complexion that resembles a sunburn.
Right after treatment you’ll be more sensitive to sunlight. This may last for several days, which is why you should either avoid direct sunlight/intensive sun exposure for about 7 days.
If you must go outside, apply SPF 15 or higher sunscreen.
There are rare occasions in which bruising, swelling and small pustules may form. They will usually disappear in several days. You will usually experience these situations when you are using 1.5mm to 2.0mm roller. If these persist, you should seek medical attention.
The pustules may need to be drained so that scabs don’t form.
If you neglect to disinfect your roller before a treatment or roll directly into pustules, the needles can spread bacteria across your face and trigger an infection.
You MUST disinfect your roller prior treatment and NEVER roll into any pustular blemish.
Some itchiness may occur. In some rare cases, a skin rash with raised, itchy bumps (hives) may occur due to hypersensitivity, in which case you’ll need to see a doctor.
