Morning and Night Routines
I use several brands on my face, morning and night. I was wondering what y’all’s morning and night routines are. I start the morning with Adrienne’s Vitamin C serums and creams and her Argan Oil. Then I go to Korres Wild Rose moisturizers, topping it off with Philosophy. LOL, I’m bound to hit a good one with one of them. I use M Asam’s Intensive Vinolift on my neck and decollete’. At night I use Adrienne’s capsules, then the others I used that morning. I make sure to end with Adrienne’s moisturizers that contain SPF 25 and 30. I also use a fade cream on my face. Am I missing out on a wonder cream or serum?

I’m trying the Beauty Bioscience TS from a few weeks ago… so I’m about to start phase 2. so far I am really pleased. I use Elysee eye cream. and using SSC night retinol and neck and chest cream which I am LOVING the results. That’s night time.
In the morning I use Josie Maran Milk, oil, eye cream, … sometimes face butter, sometimes finishing balm and always, always, always her SPF on face, neck, chest, arms, hands. Other than SPF, when not using retinol that is pretty much night routine as well. I like the mist she has, but usually use rose water I get an a Middle East grocery or Paula’s Choice BHA. I love Josie’s stuff…. no sting, no congestion, simple, really moisturizing and great results. I’m waiting to try her reserve oil. I often just wear mascara and a gloss, I like my skin. sometimes I use her tinted SPF.
I like simple… too many products causes congestion/clogged pores. Also, with a simple routine, if I try a new product or add/subtract something I know what is working and what is not pretty quickly. with too many products, you just don’t know. I used to have a more complicated routine with way more layers and my skin definitely looks and feels better with less. Plus, some active ingredients just don’t play well together.
I do masks frequently (love Josie’s), and microdermabrasion.

I’m a fan of Caroline Hirons application/skincare routines; wash, glycolic swipe, hydrate, eye cream, serum, moisturizer, spf. What I use will differ with the seasons but the routine is the same. My goal during the day is hydration but I’ll add in a Vit C in time. At night is when I use by serums however….once they are used up I’m switching to Retin A as every piece of literature I find states that after a certain age/post menopause, the over the counter products don’t do anything and Retin A (or similar product that is Rx strength) is what you need. This is especially true if you’ve used turn-over products for many years; it’s simply ageing and the slowing down of the skin cells.
The only thing I would add/change is switching up the serums as skin (the human body in general) adapts quickly so you’ll see more/faster results when alternating daily another exfoliating/glow type of serum/product. Example: I do Pixi’s Glow Tonic one day and then Dr. Gross or Cain & Austin pads the next, then Glo tonic, then the pads, etc Monday thru Friday. I don’t use them over the weekend but I do a “spa” day on Sunday (masks, peels, whatever). I don’t use scrubs, however.
I would also check in to the % of Vit. C in SCA in case you want to keep using a Vit. C but up the %. There are a few that are very good and my goal is to move there soon. I have a powder form that I’ve used alone and WOW, what a difference but way too drying. I can mix it into my moisturizer, however, so I may try that down the road.
