Joan Boyce and her Jewelry Weight
I am new to her collection. I bought, among other things, the 5 row coil necklace, 237-652 with the matching earrings, 290-022. I ordered the small/medium in the necklace and it fit too tightly around my neck. I was going to exchange it for the medium/large but the more I fiddled with it, the more I did not like the feel of it. The look is great but not the feel. It felt like plastic even though it is metal. The marching earrings were broken. One of the earrings was not aligned properly at the point of closure. The part that you insert into your ear – the post – is also very fat and it was a bit of a struggle getting it into my ear. I also ordered her very beautiful High Powered Inside Out Hoops, 315-780. These were way too heavy and did not fall properly on my ears. All the pieces were quite beautiful to look at but don’t touch it and don’t wear the earrings for too long, if you can wear them at all! As for another necklace I ordered, Simulated Pearl Necklace, 340-871, they match many things I have. I will keep that however they too don’t feel too nice, kind of plasticy but beautiful. I think her best pieces are her bracelets and if you get them on sale, even better!
One tip I did want to share. Duane Reade sells something called "Lobe Wonders". They are small bandaids you put in back of your ear lobe and they help relieve the weight of heavy earrings. I LOVE them!

I haven’t purchased the same pieces that you have purchased, but every piece that I own is beautiful and very high quality expensive looking. The weight, feel and look are real looking and feeling, and incredibly beautiful.
I have several of her pearls. Each set that I own is made of heavy glass pearls that are to die for. Not "plasticy" at all. Her earrings are also beautiful, but are a bit on the heavy side, but quality is so there.
I have many of her pieces, but haven’t purchased from her in a while (how many statement pieces do I really need after all). I truly hope that the quality hasn’t dropped.
