I wanted to make the drawer tower as shown on the video. I got all the small drawers perfectly

Does anyone know the measurements for the larger top drawer and slip case on this project??.

She gives all the measurements, except this one. I tried but seem to fall short. I measured on the box lid and box base for each segment ( drawer and slip case). The top drawer is the size of the top I thought. It isn’t measuring properly. I’ve viewed the video many times and still cannot figure that one part out.

The completed project needs to measure 6×6. That is the final measurement for the top that covers the 4 drawers. I did a 6 and one half square (61/2), (so I could have the half inch depth to the drawers for that one drawer only. My problem is remembering which one to measure on box base and box lid. One is measured slightly larger in order for the drawer to fit inside the case.

Maybe you figured this out by now. I have the ultimate Craftier’s companion advanced construction technique dvd.

I think you are trying to make the advent box drawers. The base of that set is the same as the easel card with drawers that she makes first. the paper size is 6×6. That is the same size for the advent drawer tower.

I think the inside slip is that size and the box might be smaller something like 53/4×53/4, the smallest I would go is 51/2×51/2 or double the size of the little boxes. With the same depth as the littler boxes. The score should be the same I would think. If not then go one line out to the side of the board. If two big go one line in to the board. With that said I think the construction is the same.

If you have got it figured and made could you please tell us and maybe show a picture of it.

I have not made this myself but I too like the advent drawer tower and it is on my list of things to try.

I see this is two weeks old already. I too have the dvd with a set of drawer tower. I will check it out later and post back up here sometime today or tonight and let you know. I thought she showed how to make the tower in the video?? It has been a while since I have watched but I will see if I can find out how Sara did it.
