September is SEWING month
HSN even has SEWING MONTH as a banner on the sewing and craft page but l see Celebrating SEWING Month programming on the 8th has one hour of actual sewing items with no new items or machines, surrounded be five hours of paper craft shows. On the 9th the same token hour of the same old items on sale and still more hourS of paper crafts. The last time there were "new arrivals" in sewing the items were an iron and no–sew glue. And these were neither new or very "sewy"
Am I the only HSN customer interested in sewing? Is HSN offering anything new this month? Over the past 6 years I have purchased several machines and lots of sewing tools from HSN loving flex pay. So disappointed that my next sewing machine purchase will be done elsewhere. Not interested in the tired inventory here.

Also very disappointed. Have purchesed 2 sewing machines from HSN and always like to watch Darlene Cahill. I could only find 2 shows this entire month on your schedule that indicated anything to do with sewing. Have a friend looking for a new machine and sang your praises the end of August. For what?! There has been nothing to point her toward. Any shows coming up? Can you please post them somewhere? "HSN TODAY" on your schedule tells me nothing. Put something in your search results so we can get a meaningful calendar when we search ‘sewing’.

I agree – a very disappointing Nat’l Sewing Month without new machines, sewing shows and Darlene.
Also frustrating HSN did not note they would not have their usual Sewing Month shows (I too kept checking the schedule). Glad to see the October show dates. I know we all hope Darlene has not had health problems. My first HSN purchase was the 5 thread Singer serger, because of the 30 day return policy. It was a keeper for me, but having the ability to try the machine with return option if needed was what gave me the confidence to buy through HSN.

Oh, I am so glad Darlene will be back. She inspired me to sew. I am still a beginner but I have cut and hemmed curtain’s which saved me a bundle. Made decorative pillows and I am so proud to say made a little shift dress, (ok my sister helped me with the zipper). I sure hope she does a blog with a project. I love Darlene Cahill .:womanhappy:

Where is Darlene? PLEASE tell me she’s still with HSN? I learned a lot from her and a bought a machine. At times even though I couldn’t get a machine I would just watch to learn. Hopefully she hasn’t gone the same route as Martha Stewart who no longer seems to be with HSN. Sure makes you wonder what’s going on here?

Watching HSN 2 . This girl that it appears has replaced Darlene is awful. How you could learn anything about what she is selling when all she does is giggle, giggle, giggle. And how professional to tell everyone when the presenter working with her asks her to get up and show things on the table and she states she can’t because she has her shoes off because she sews in her bare feet I don’t think she’s dressed appropriately either. She’s obviously just clueless as to everything.not being mean I actually feel sorry for her.

Darlene has been missed. The inexperinced (on tv) demonstrator was interesting but not well received. Darlene was NOT on at 4am since it is during her blackout hours.

If September is SEWING MONTH, then why aren’t there any shows with sewing??? I am so burned out on the paper craft junk that Hsn keeps putting on over and over without any new crafts..just the same ole’ same ole’ paper crafts you can buy elsewhere for a lesser amount. Frankly, Hsn is proving that the "crafts" are not a money maker, therefore, the crafts section has become card making crafts and dumping other craft items. Darlene had some wonderful ideas for sewing and inspired many of us who continue to sew and use the machines purchased on Hsn. I have a feeling that eventually the crafts section will disappear before long and limit inventory for online items too. Many of Hsn’s members are very talented in crafts, besides the paper crafts, and will have to resort to other websites for their supplies if the Hsn crafts continues in this fashion. Disappointed in you Hsn…you used to be very savvy for merchandise buying, but you are losing some pretty important members if you had dumped Darline Cahill.

I too, have been looking for Darlene Cahill & the sewing shows since this is National Sewing Month. Darlene did a wonderful job! She is excellent at sewing, adjusting the machiines, and talking at the same time. I work in a sewing studio, with lots of different brands of machines & still learn a lot from Darlene’s demos.
I’m hoping she has moved on to bigger ( & better) opportunities in the sewing world. Hopefully, she will let us know when & where on her Facebook & blog.

What happened to HSN’s great sewing month presentations?!!! 2 or three presentations, No Darlene, someone new who didn’t excite anyone about the machine or sewing! Guess we will have to find another program. What a shame!!

Just saw on Darlenes Facebook page that she listed her employment as worked at HSN. Please tell me it isn’t so. She is what sold the machines. She has so many great tips and projects to share. I saw the new gal also. The presentation was a HOT mess. Very disorganized. I turned the channel within minutes. Before for the sewing shows I had it on all day long. I would plan my day around when it would be on. I’m hoping they figure it all out soon

I didn’t see Darlene demo machines sorry I missed her.. I only saw her with an iron I think it was. They had some straight haired fairly young girl demonstrating who they said was some blogger. She was not with it at all. I watched thinking she’s not going to sell anything . The poor host didn’t seem to even know what a sewing machine was i actually felt sorry for her. It appears to me Darlene is out why I wonder. She commented on her FB or a blog somewhere that she didn’t know when she’d be back that hsn was going have to decide what they were doing with their sewing programming.

Darlene was on at 4.00 am est. Darlene demoed 2 singer machines. I do not know if she will be on again today. Nothing new from Singer at this point.
I too love watching her. Actually she was the main reason I came back to HSN many years ago now.
Oh well will keep my eyes out for her today and last of crafting for tonight.
Your HSN friend,
Cupatea

I agree with the others here! September is National Sewing Month! HSN, in the past, has always had several great sewing shows with Darlene! I miss them!! What’s up, HSN?? Do we need to take our money elsewhere? We CAN!
-
I miss Darlene and the sewing machines on parade. I find those shows inspirational. I confess I have bought more sewing machines than I need but I’ve given one to my daughter, daughter-in-laws, and my granddaughter. They love them.

Happy to see two sewing shows this month, but disappointed there are not more. Has anyone else noticed that Darlene is not listed as being on either of these shows? Hope we will still see her on HSN!
