Don’t buy an "off-brand" TV from here or anywhere
If you buy an off-brand TV, you might find that there are no codes for that TV with your cable co, for programming your remote control. It happened to me and it was too late to return it. BEWARE!

So are you trying to control the cable box with the TV remote or using the cable remote to control your tv? Some cable remote controls are not published in that little booklet you get! Google your TV brand and Cable supplier and you should find a answer if you dig deep enough! Most low end brand TV’s remotes are useless for the newer cable boxes! Besides once you set the cable box remote up for your TV it basically is used for turning on the TV volume and channels….anything else you have to use the TV remote to change sources, color, menu, guide, settings or apps! AND once you have your TV set up you rarely need the remote!

roxy13 thanks for your review,my experience with the fitbit hr is a bit different so thought I would post about my experience. I received it on 1/13. Got it synced (in full disclosure, my teenage daughter did it all in a very short time) and started wearing it that night. I have worn it since. I have found the sleep tracking and steps (compared with my pedometer) to be very accurate. I think the data it’s gathering will be a good baseline. Several of my friends at work have a fitbit hr and we started walking at lunch together so it is motivating me to move more. I have not had to recharge it yet. In fact, my husband is jealous and wants one. I didn’t think he would like it or would have also ordered him one when it was a today’s special. HSN is currently sold out so looking around to find him one.

Here’s’ an update on the Fitbit HR – I finally received mine after 7 days. I was able to sync it with no problem. If you read the forum on the Fitbit site, lots of users have lots of problems trying to sync this device.
What wasn’t said during the presentation all day long is that this tracker does not work on a treadmill, does not work on a stationery bike. Since I do most of my winter walking on a treadmill, this did not work for me – I would not have purchased it had I known. The battery is supposed to last for 5 days – mine needed charging after 24 hours. The forums say that you can increase battery life by not using the heart monitor – really? THen why spend money on a fitbit with a heart monitor!
Also, I tracked my usual outdoor walk yesterday and the Fitbit was totally off.
I sent it back.

roxy13, thanks for the info. I have read multiple reviews of the fitbit HR online. They all agree its weaknesses are heart rate accuracy issues and run tracking accurcy issues. They do state the benefits are comfortable design, exercise tracking, and automatic exercise detection.
I have been wanting to try a fitness tracker for a while now. I decided to purchase a HR Fitbit when it was a today’s special. (My order is in packaging so anxiously awaiting it’s arrival next week) I am not a runner so won’t have an issue with the run tracking and if needed during excercise, I have the chest strap type of heart rate monitor.
I wanted the HR fitbit for the ease of wear and tracking and accountability of health goals. I didn’t want to buy the more expensive trackers until I saw how it worked out. I think this is a good basic entry level fitnes tracker.
