2 Roku deal
Anyone purchase it? I did . I already owned 2 and thought these sounded like a great deal. I am not electronically savvy ,but always find this brand ‘easy peasy’ to set up and just about always works great.
I recived my order yesterday , attached one to my tv in dining room –fast/easy /operating in 30 minutes or less—yea!
I had some must do errands so waited to connect to the kitchen tv until evening. It is up on a cabinet and I have to climb a ladder to connect. I thought I could have it up and running after dinner and a short kp cleanup—-oh no! It started ,but then the connection icons spun midway…. long story short after calling Roku and trying a million different fix its Roku ( my evening down the drain) and I concluded it is probably the remote is bad and will need returning.eerr!
I am going to try everything one more time (hello ladder this morning) . I will then see about returning it but since it is a set I will probably have to UNDO THE GOOD ONE AND RETURN BOTH???

Well, CS told us to contact Roku & we did asking for a new remote for the one . Roku sent it to us free of charge and that solved the problem ! Both work just fine now. Whew!

It is a streaming device. You have to have wifi coming into your house. Most people do away with cable when they have wifi and a streaming device . There are a lot of free channels and some are for a monthly fee like netflix & hulu are about 7.99 monthly. With Amazon Prime ($99. paid anually = about the same monthly) you can stream movies and other videos + free shipping on a lot of items and other perks). you plug it into an HDMI on tv. Basically turns your tv into a ‘smart tv’.
If interested check out ** or search here and watch videos.
My experience has been Roku is one of the best. I have a blu-ray disc player but it buffers a lot.
This is the only time I have had trouble with a Roku.
HSN was selling it all last weekend and it sounded like a good price with free shipping then–if only both would work!

What does RUKU do? I’m not tech savy either but interested. Is it for streaming? My connection to the Internet is through cable. Do you just plug it into the back of the set?
