EVINE is bad news.
I’ve recently tried Evine for the past year. I truly thought it was owned by HSN because it was all the same products that have been on HSN. It is not and that’s a huge relief. My reasons for no longer going EVINE:
1) Customer Service is very poor. (Don’t have the answers to most questions, they don’t have any authority to do anything but say "no" and the Supervisor Staff is the same)
2) This the MOST IMPORTANT. They offer Value Pay. By checking the box for Value Pay you are agreeing to let Evine check your credit. Not the credit card, BUT your complete Credit History. If you read the reviews about Evine on the website Consumer Affairs, you will read multitude of complaints concerning this. It will show as a "hard check" on your credit which will hurt your credit score. Evine is rated 1 star on this site with over 350 reports. DO NOT DO VALUE PAY. They have very poor record keeping between their bank that handles the Value Pays and the actual site.
I just thought you would want to know.

I have to say I love Evine too. Never ever had a problem with them, and their jewlery is gorgeous. I also like the hosts very much. Just not as much as HSN!! :smileylol::smileylol::smileylol:

I shop at evine and never have a problem and I use value pay. I tell them what I want and they put my order through and I receive it within a few days. I been with them when they were shop NBC and HQ and never had any problems.

Thanks for that information, I didn’t know.

Evine’s delivery is slower, and the shipping charges are too high.
They carry some wonderful Jewelry lines.
I do not shop with them often.
Last month I purchased an item, and returned it a few days later.
It was returned with their sticker and tracked by the post office, but somehow got lost.
Since it was tracked with the post office, there is proof that I returned it.
I initiated calls to Evine asking about the return, being told to call back then calling back being told they would file a claim with th epost office, then telling me I had to wait for the claim to process and their money returned before crediting me back. Today, when I called the Service Rep was robotic and told me that I only called one other time ( not correct, she was not personable or helpful). I told her to credit me back since their is proof of my return with the post office. This is not my fault, and is between them and the post office. I was told no, all th ewhile she was reading from a script, and didnt care to help at all, to call back in 3 more days. Really? This is not service in any way and I wont buy from them again unless reimbursed and may never buy from them again. Guess I wil save some money on jewlery… Carol (Rarities) here I come…

Thank you for the info on Value Pay! I use that often here and had no idea Evine would do a hard pull on credit. I placed my only 2 orders with them & set up a new account this noon–immediately after reading this I cancelled both orders & emailed them to say NO CREDIT CHECK. I also requested they cancel my new account–no option online for me to do that. All this within less than 30 minutes of ordering. There is no reason for a hard pull on credit if you’re using a valid major credit card so I believe they are not within the law to do that. I did see their comment on checking eligibility but that does not equate to a credit check by a lender to whom you are applying for financing. Really underhanded of them not to state that that is what they are doing. Plus I believe it is not allowed under consumer protection laws.
What a hassle to have to contact the credit bureaus, which I will do now.
THANK YOU!!

THANKS FOR THE WARNING. BOUGHT ONCE FROM SHOP NBC – SUZANNE’S SALAD DRESSING I THINK – YRS AGO. DIDNT USE VALUEPAY. I ENJOY WATCHING MOST OF THE TIME. HEATHER HALL IS MY IDEA OF THE PERFECT HOST – SO BEAUTIFUL, SINCERE & NEVER ANY YELLING OR HYPE. BUT HSN IS STILL MY #1 “GO TO”.

I’ve had one minor hiccup with Evine years ago (when it was ShopNBC). That’s not the case for me any longer though. I have had no problems. I primarily purchase jewelry from them.

I have had no problems with their value pay at all with Evine. What has been dissapointing is that they have raised their shipping to the way HSN was doing it for years upon years. Recently HSN is offering more flexpay and much more Free S&H or vey low S&H on many items which is greatly appreciated. But if Evine is selling something with Free S&H with 6 Value Pay and it’s an item you do need like I said I simply haven’t had a problem at all. Just wanted to share that.

REALLY BEEN WATCHING SUZANNE SOMERS ALL DAY LIKE HER FIND HER VERY INTERESTING LIKE IT THERE

I shop at the Q as well as Evine and have never had a bad experience at either one. I do have a Q card. I have been extended the offer of an preaprove Evine card but turned it down. I have enough cards to use. But I have had nothing but good experiences with both. The customer service on Evine has been good for me. No problems. As with the Q too. Very nice.

I shop at Evine and use their Value-Pay program all the time. In fact, I just bought two fur coats from them last week! I’ve never had a problem with their company… whether is was ShopNBC or now as Evine. Our credit is outstanding and I’m glad to be able to use the dispersed payment schedule whenever I can.
As far as products go, I have my favourite lines there… just as I do here at HSN. I do have an HSN credit card, but I don’t have Evine’s or the Q’s. In any case, dismissing the hassle of ‘Returns’, (for any of these shopping channels), I’ve had nothing but good shopping experiences over at Evine… just as I’ve had here at HSN… and the same over at the Q.
If you’re that worried about your Credit Score, then you should not use any kind of credit to pay for anything. Save your money until you can Pay each transaction In-Full.

I never have bought anything from Evine or Shop NBC. I’ve never found anything but what looks like junk. Their hosts are the worst with zero professionalism! I tried to watch a few programs and it was bad.
I think with HSN they may do a credit check on very expensive items? I know at one time they said they don’t allow easy pay over $1,000, but that was a few months after I started shopping here. I understand this and don’t blame them.
Thanks for the info on Evine though. Sounds like a mess.

EVINE has come a long way baby. Almost finished paying off their value pays and then gone baby gone…..Ronnie

I have made several transactions with Evine on Value Pay. Evine has never checked my credit report.
They frequently give me discounts. A few months ago, Evine gave me a coupin for 25.00 dollars. I LOVED it! :womanvery-happy: With an incentive like that, I had to purchase a few items. :womanlol:

When you choose Flexpay with HSN, you give them permission to check your credit report too.
