I planted some beautiful reddish-gold mums in the garden. They are the perfect flowering plant for fall, in my opinion! So cheerful and such a heavenly scent.

Congratulations to the 9/19/16 winner, ?!
We asked: How will you freshen up your home for fall?
You answered: I’ll change my closet out first and put away the sleeveless outfits and shorts . Move the winter clothes forward front and center . For decorating I will pick up a couple of bales of hay, add a pumpkin or two and some corn stalks for the porch. I’ll set out Halloween decorations and fall decorations collected over the years throughout the house . I love for the house to smell like cinnamon and pumpkin spice . Change the duvets to a fall Decor. For my clothes I will Get out all my Heidi Halloween brooches and necklaces and fall pins to wear on my clothes . The grandkids love that .
Check your email on file inbox for gift card details.

How will I freshen-up my home for the Fall Season? That’s easy. I call the Maid Service and tell them I want a super-duper cleaning… this means I want, (besides their regular cleaning duties), the walls & ceilings washed, and all our windows cleaned inside & out as well. I pay the Bill, they do the Work!

Oh FALL how I love this season. First I will decorate inside and outside. Placing assorted pumpkins, gourds, and colorful mums on front porch and steps to Welcome all. If cool weather permits….a warm cozy fire in fireplace inside and outside (porch sitting area). Beautiful cozy quilts all over furniture. Definitely open windows all over to let cool fresh air in and recirculate house. Candles, candles everywhere. How I just can’t wait!!!

I love Fall and all the beautiful colors displayed by nature. But I live in an area where our seasons seem to be: Wind, Windy, Windier, and Windiest. I am so thankful for stores that provide me with endless choices for decorating my house. Fake Fall is better than no Fall at all!
I keep a limited number of decorative items out all year that remind me of Fall. Soon I will pull out my Halloween decor followed by my Thanksgiving decor. And just to bring the smell of Fall into the picture I will have to “force” myself to bake some pumpkin and pecan pies.

Open up the windows and let the fresh fall air come in. After raking up the leaves come inside light one of the wonderfall fall candles grab a throw on the couch and watch HSN.

believe it or not, i do a “spring cleaning” except it is in september instead of the spring season.
this includes power-washing the house and windows; cleaning out the gutters outside to prepare for inclement weather; caring for the dying landscape; and, putting away summer clothes in favor of pieces for the colder weather ahead. these tasks usually take a good two weeks to complete. so by the time the official start date of autumn rolls around, i am set- all tuckered out, but set for fall. love you adam!!! cheers on a great question, love. xoxo
