We asked: What’s your plan for the summer?
You answered: Preface: I always have a plan A, plan B, etc.,because the best laid plans always seem to go awry, especially when you have to attend to the banal stuff associated wth being a responsible adult.

It would be interesting to revisit this topic in, say August, and ask, “How’s your summer plan going?”

Also, I am going to assume the phrase “add your story and tune” was not a typo, and give you a tune to go with my Plan A. If other posters add their tune to their plan, I think it it would give a fuller picture of each plan–the soundtrack of our lives adds so much to our mental picture of each plan.

SweetheartPines: Plan A for the Summer of 2016
1. Spend as much time outside as possible, especially in the woods, on the beach, in the water, and in my garden.
2. See as much live music and art at concerts and festivals. I already have tickets to take my 80 year old mother to see Sting and Peter Gabriel at a great summer festival!
3. Maybe, just maybe, fall in love or like over the summer.

Hello All:smileyhappy:  FIRST, HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY YOUR SUMMERS’! =)  Just lost my Mom 5/24—I’d LOVE to spend my summer– visiting/re-connecting w/my family!  TO CELEBRATE HER ‘LIFE’ …..TOGETHER!  Have VERY large family (BOTH sides-like Big Fat Greek Wedding -HUGE FAM) , mostly NY, Texas, Ohio, Calif, and Vermont….along w/Northern Fla!   … Just to ‘share MANY MANY HAPPY memories–SMILES’ and to just re-connect!  THAT ‘PLAN’  WOULD MAKE MY SUMMER  ‘HAPPY’!  :womanhappy::heart:   GOD BLESS US ALL! :heart::heart::heart:

I’m going to War! The Pennsic War, to be precise. It is a yearly two-week event of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an educational group dedicated to studying the arts and sciences of the Middle Ages. So 10,000 of my closest friends dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages will be there from around the world to beat each other with sticks, stab each other, shoot archery, throw axes and knives, study various arts and sciences, shop, and generally have a good time.

FESTS, FESTS & MORE FESTS!  ALSO WIS. STATE FAIR WHICH IS REALLY THE BIG MAMA OF THEM ALL.  BEST FOOTLONG CORN DOGS ANYWHERE, NOT TO MENTION SOUTH BEND CHOCOLATE CO. FUDGE!  BEST EVER!  ALSO SHOPPING, SHOPPING, SHOPPING IN THE “BIG BUILDING” AND ELSEWHERE ON THE FAIRGROUNDS.  LOTS OF EATING & WALKING!  BEEN ATTENDING FOR MORE YRS. THAN I CARE TO ADMIT TO!  THANKS FOR ASKING, ADAM.

I plan on spending as much time as I can with my family, and especially my beautiful grand children. We set up our pool to enjoy when they are here so I am sure I will be doing alot of pool play with them.Basically enjoying life and family.

Good question Adam! I normally work at my local elementary school but since school is out for 10 weeks I have been spending time with my mother. She is almost 87 years young and now lives in an assisted living. We have been bonding at the facility playing bingo, karaoke and working adult coloring books together. I have even made new friends with the residents there.

Entertaining friends and family who come to sunny Florida for summer vacation!  Amusement parks and beaches are all I am going to see.:womanlol:  And, of course, shopping and gaming on HSN!:womanhappy: Summer tune; “Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer” by Nat King Cole.:womanvery-happy:

My plan is to spend every summer moment I can enjoying the lushness of this all too short season in New York. Then in August, the family will fly out to Washington State to enjoy two weeks with our daughter in a beautiful place where summer is even shorter!:smileyhappy:

Volleyball, sun bathing, boating and trying to keep my butt in shape!
