HSN Host – Bill
Anyone else notice that Bill comes of rude and pretentious? He’s always cutting people off, talking over them, and acting like the company representing the product doesn’t know what they are talking about. It’s their product, they know what they are talking about. It’s embarrassing and awkward. Makes me cringe. He has such an attitude that I can’t watch HSN when he’s on. There are so many amazing hosts at HSN that project compassion, relatability, and respectfulness. He should take some pointers from them.

I have been watching and enjoying Bill for yrs on HSN and when they also had America’s Store. He has always been my favorite of all of the hosts on any of the channels.I like his thorough input and descriptions of the items.
He also has a great sense of humor that he blends in with the info he gives. He gets my vote for best host any day of the week.:womanvery-happy:

I LOVE BILL! ONE OF THEIR BEST HOSTS – KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT JEWELRY. AND A REALLY SWEET GUY. P.S. WHERE’S HE BEEN LATELY?????

The producer, I think, has access to a lot of outside information. They can tell if people are buying, they can best tell if the vendor or host has misstated something, they know is complaints have come in about the presentation etc…. Sometimes it is important to relay that information. That is why all hosts on all channels wear and use the earpieces.
There is No better male host anywhere, than Adam Freeman. He is hands down … The Best. I’ve noticed that some male hosts on all channels are trying to imitate Adam.

I think Bill’s great, as are other hosts. The only thing I really don’t like about ALL the hosts is the fact that no matter what the product seller is saying, the host has to repeat exactly what the seller just said, like we didn’t hear him/her just say that?? I’m sure the seller gets aggravated about this…I would if I was the seller and had all the knowledge about my product and then have someone repeat what I just said..like I don’t know what I’m talking about, and then the host goes on and on and on and doesn’t let the seller talk. So many times I yell at the TV…”.Shut up..Let him/her talk”. I want to hear what he/she has to say about his/her own product. I know it’s the host’s job to help sell the product…BUT…it does get very boring very quickly. I know that the seller sometimes runs out of things to say so the host jumps in to help out, but wait till that happens and not butt in while they are explaining their product, which I have noticed somethimes throws them off of what they were saying and takes a while to get back to their thoughts.
Other then that….thanks HSN for giving us products we didn’t know was out their at affordable prices.

Bill is a class act. I have been watching him for years & have not seen nor heard him be “rude or pretentious”. He is always very well mannered, friendly & explains the product that is being presented & is very polite to the people that call in. Perhaps IMO some could use some training or mentoring from him.

I think Bill seems like a nice guy.
I see a lot of these, “He/she talks over everyone else” posts about the hosts, and it makes me wonder whether the people who frequently complain about this just don’t get that certain personality types are more likely to do this than others (and it has nothing to do with thinking they’re better than the person being talked over or interrupted).
I’ve been accused of doing that in my own life, and it always surprises me and makes me feel bad that it apparently hurts feelings, because I don’t mean to – I just get excited about an idea and kind of spit it out as soon as the thought pops into my head. It’s not a conscious decision of, “This person is unimportant – let me cut him/her off” as others often characterize it. Maybe that’s why I never even notice when hosts supposedly do this.
To me, it’s not a manners issue so much as a temperament one. I mean, we all have little interpersonal quirks.
