Diane Gilman’s hair
She could use a more attractive shorter length. Her hair makes her look so old. Older women really look better in a closer cut framing the face.

Thank you so much FedExGuy. I do have a smartphone. Only thing it was left behind when we headed North from Florida to what we felt would have been cooler temps. For the past year I have been looking at hotspots. There are times when one would come in handy but the monthly plans have been cost prohibitive because I would only be using it on the road. As far as the WiFi in hotels/motels, we do not use internet connections unless it is to find our next destination. You made a good point. The 5 gigs are really not enough and the plans here are just as expensive as any other phone company. And the cellular connection may not work in inclement weather or where trees block the satellite or phone tower. I appreciate your honesty and the time you took to answer my question. Again, a big thanks.

What age do you consider "older"? :catwink:

I agree about her hair but my real issue with her is how much she interrupts the show host whenever she is on air. It is so rude!

I love Diane’s shorter hair…before, it was too long, outdated and unflattering on her..the shorter length looks so much better on her. She looks amazing for her age !!!

FaireMaiden love your hair it looks good on you and you defintely don’t look your age.

She could use an update not a shorter length and a different hair color and not parted in the middle.

safron… Every woman has a vision of herself in her mind’s eye. It is that vision that she strives to materialize in the ‘real’ world. I’ll be 62 next month, and, I have very long hair. I’ve had it cut to all lengths throughout my life, but, ‘long’ is where it’s at for me. It fulfills the ‘inner vision’ of myself.
Now, I’m letting it go all silver, having quit dying it about a year-and-a-half ago. My vision of the ‘future me’ is that of a silver-haired crone who still dances in the moonlight to the beat of a heartfelt drum, and with voice singing songs of praise, love, beauty, and blessedness.
In the end, the only thing that matters is whether or not we were true to ourselves; that we attained, somewhere along the way, our authentic self. If, in your opinion, my long hair makes me look old, I don’t care. And, I don’t care precisely because I don’t mind being old. I just want the best ‘old’ I can be… ‘that’ which fulfills MY vision of ‘old, wise, and beautiful’.

I think her hair looks beautiful! She wears the style well.

Diane is full of life, obviously loving life and vivacious. Good for her if she wants a mane of hair. I have this visual of taking my grandmother and her sister to get their short hair set at their hair place 🙂 Aren’t the days of older women must have short hair long gone? Short, long it’s up to the individual. My mom read her book, and sent it to me, and I have a different perspective on her after reading it. She’s been through a lot, and come out the other side happy and healthy.

Diane does not even look old at all. And who makes decisions as to what style is best for anyone but the person themselves? Thank goodness there is freedom in this country that you can have long hair if you want. Did anyone see the menopause commercial for Osphena the medication to make sex less painful in and after menopause. Those "older women" are stunning and all have long hair.

The women who say Diane should cut such amazing hair probably have thinning bad hair and cannot have long hair cause they look old. I think all women throughout centuries had long hair as it is and always a sign of femininity. Most women with long hair get attached to it making it part of their identity. My hair is fabulous and amazing and I am over 50. I hardly ever cut it and can wear all the cool trendy looks like cute messy buns and braids. Women with super short hair look butch most of the time. Callie does look amazing with short hair cause her style is feminine and she is like a model.

ACTUALLY, MY THOUGHTS WERE VERY MUCH THE SAME AS THIS COMMENT. NEVER CONSIDERED MYSELF A BULLY BECAUSE MY THOUGHTS WERE THAT SOMEONE MIGHT CHANGE OR IMPROVE THEIR APPEARANCE, ONE WAY OF ANOTHER. IT IS A COMMENT, AND THE VIEW OF ONE PERSON. IT IS OBVIOUS WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT VIEWS.
PERSONALLY, MY COMMENTS WOULD BE MORE IN THE VEIN OF, "WHY DON’T ALL THESE VENDORS THAT SELL THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF PRODUCTS OPEN FACTORIES IN THE USA?" SOME OF THE PROFITS COULD GO TO PUTTING, "OUT OF WORK" AMERICANS BACK TO WORK! THE "SPECIAL OF THE DAY" IS SO OFTEN MADE IN A COUNTRY THAT IS BEATING THE TAR OUT OF THE USA, SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS HERE! MY BUYING IS VERY LIMITED NOW, AS MY PURCHASES ARE ONLY THOSE NOT MADE IN THAT OTHER PARTICULAR COUNTRY! JUST A MY PERSONAL VIEW, AND COMMENT.

is it really the length? to me it just looks like she forgot to brush it or something….seriously, not trying to be unkind, but you would think a friend of hers would suggest she try something new!
