SHAME ON YOU HSN

Finally, I have found out what happened to Chris. I have asked about her several times and no one ever acknowledged that she ever worked at HSN. I just don’t understand why HSN finds it necessary to deny a host working for them, especially one who worked for them for 21 years. 

HSN has changed so much. I have been with them since the beginning.  I loved the way they use to show products, lowering and lowering the price. I loved that they called the automated ordering Tootie.  They have taken the relaxed laid back atmosphere away.  

Also, when a vendor leaves HSN they need to let their customers know that they are gone. They should also provide a site and/or a address and phone number where the former vendor can be reached. I think all vendors selling their goods at HSN should provide a email and website where they can be reach.  I have asked how to contact Adrienne with Signature Club A, and was told they had no way for me to send a email or contact her company.  I just don’t understand. Anyone out there know the answer to these questions?

Yes, Maryworth, I remember Kelly Repassy…she was a great host, but now I believe she has been selling some of her own creations of spandex under garments. I don’t recall the brand name,but evidently she is doing well in her own business right now.

And back in the 1980’s John Cremeans was the popular host that sold products so well. I think he also is selling some of his inventions and saw him on a shopping channel selling his new products and is also doing well.

Runner, are you thinking of Kelly Repassy? Very pretty, animated? Her HSN hosting was before my time here, but I did see a couple of Diane Gilman presentations where she was the host. She was really good.

I do know of Rachel..she used to do overnights..then lost weight and her whole personality changed! From very soft-spoken..almost introverted..to animated and extroverted! Shes great w/Anthony!
I am thinking of a different woman…short reddish-brown hair..maybe in early 30s…I think she said she was a 1X..was on over-nights…I enjoyed her but can not remember her name! I think she also said she was a plus-sized model prior…..anyway..thanks for your response!

Im a longtime shopper and lurker who has been reading through the older threads, I am wondering if its cheaper for the tv shopping channels to hire new hosts as they probably pay them half of a senior hosts salary, Look how many hosts the Q has on-air at one time! I saw Patty on an info-mercial a few months ago..don’t remember the product though. Does anyone remember the overnight host w.short reddish hair ,,,who was a plus size and so refreshing to watch.listen to as she described fashions,,,,she also vanished w no notice, Sorry for the rambling..trying to think back to several hosts I enjoyed from years past who left,,,

If you’re thinking of an HSN host, I think you’re talking about Rachel Huber. She lost a lot of weight and became thin, almost too thin, but she was easy to listen to and watch. I’m an overnight gal, so I really miss her. She now hosts for The Shopping Channel in Canada.
HSN hired 3 or 4 annoying hosts to take the place of one Rachel Huber, who was wonderful.

Jolie13, Philps–Why have you opened up an unrelated thread from 2 years ago and used it as a vehicle to repeat your prejudiced views against gay hosts? Starting new threads got you no where, so now you’re digging up oldies?

Can’t believe Chris Scanlon is gone without a word. I love shopping with HSN , but also have problems with the lack of diversity. They seem to be very supportive of gay men; it seems like all of the male hosts are gay. I support this but let’s also have Latino or African American show hosts? Let’s represent all of the HSN clientele.

I agree, the HSN casting director must be a woman who loves gay men or a gay man. They need to loose that awful Brett Chuckerman, he is very annoying to watch as he mugs for the camera [-x

I think Chrissie might have been missing a bit too much work for TPTB in the HSN offices. She was going to Colorado a lot…and as with any of us who have jobs outside the home, if you miss too much work with no “good” reason, the company will find someone else who will be more dependable to do your job. It happens.

Chris was one of my favorite hosts (actually, she was my favorite) and I’ll miss her but I wish her well with whatever she does because she’s always going to land on her feet 🙂

I agree I don’t think Chris would leave after being here for so long. Usually if the host are quitting they will say something on air before they go, I didn’t hear anything about Chris. She seemed liked she loved her job it’s hard to believe as down to earth as she is that she wouldn’t have mentioned it to her audience beforehand. When you get fired one day you there and the next day the person is gone and no one says nothing. I am sure a viewer will ask if they call in.

Seems like HSN is getting hosts that look more like models than real people. So what if she was a little heavy I am sure she could relate to more viewers. As far as being annoying so are alot of the other hosts, but I hate to say they are thinner and more attractive I guess they can get away with more.[-x

this is from homeshoppingista HSN’s PR Department answered our question about whether hosts Chris Scanlon and Alicia Perez are gone from the home shopping network. “Following up on your question regarding Chris Scanlon and Alicia Perez, the answer is yes,” the HSN spokesman said in an email. “After being a valued and contributing employee for more than 21 years, Chris Scanlon is no longer with HSN. Alicia Perez is no longer with the company as well. We thank Chris and Alicia for their many contributions to HSN and wish them well in their future endeavors.” Not much of a send-off for Scanlon, after more than two decades with HSN.

I was surprise/shocked to find Chris is no longer with HSN.She was my favorite on air hostess.
I emailed HSN asking where she was(I wasn’t sure if she were on holiday or leave,etc)and this is the response I received:
