Roku Premiere
Can today”s special Roku Premiere be used on a TV that is not hdmi capable?

I went to the ROKU site and compared their devices. They have a very good guide to step you through what ROKU device is compatible with your TV. I have a first generation ROKU that was compatible with my old analog, and you can really tell the picture quality is not as good as compared to the picture on my current HDTV, when I’m on the regular TV vs the ROKU. My TV is about to give up the ghost so I bought a 2015 Samsung HD 1080p which will arrive this week, and I figured it was time to upgrade my ROKU, since it is a “dumb” as opposed to a Smart TV! I decided NOT to get the Today’s Special, because I will not be getting a 4K or HDR TV anytime soon because of the cost. I’ve had my eye on the ROKU Streaming Stick, and right now, the Roku site has it on sale for $34.99 down from $49.99 (their Black Friday deal), with a free gift of 2 months each of Showtime, Hulu Plus and CBS All Access.
If you have an older model TV that truly has no HDMI cable input, ROKU has their ROKU Express+ for $39.99. You can also get the 3 streaming channels deal if you buy it on the ROKU site.

This does need an HDMI port to connect.
