Why does HSN sell electrical items & not list the maximum weight it will accept according 2 the MFG?
For
Curtis Stone 1500-Watt Infrared Burner
509-846 HSN and Chef Stone need to add the maximum weight their infrared burner will accept and that needs to be clearly visible in writing under the product detail because this item is a smooth glass top 1500 watt infrared burner, so for my cooking expertise I would definitely need to be able to read in print under order detail for this item the maximum weight this burner will accept clearly written in U.S. pound weight. HSN customer service does not have this informaiton, and I gave up after listening to loud music from the Warranty # HSN furnished. “No one comes back on the phone to speak with you and I just wasted a large # of my HSN cell phone minutes while being placed on hold for too long a period of time, while listening to loud irritating music. P.S I hope to see that very much needed U.S. Maximum Weight limit this item will accept , in U.S.A. maximum pounds also be added and placed under this item’s product detail as well, and hopefully asap so I can purchase and gift it. Don’t wish to gift it and having too much weight placed on it with food, and have the weight unexpectedly break through the glass top and cause a dangerous fire, and potential harm to human lives, pets, and property, so this maximum weight limit should have clearly been included in writing under the product’s order detail. “Also need to know the actual name of the Manufacturer since that also is omitted”. “Just listing origin as made in China, really does not help at alll”. Plenty of items are made in China, but they also list the Manufacturer’s actual name & telephone # so if any concerns customers who purchased can contact the Manufacturer directly, since their warranty company has no clue about the weight limitations for this item.” Not the correct way to make a sale Chef Stone or HSN, so please HSN Customer Service/Manager kindly advise reply asap ,and many thanks.

Thanks Candace,
I read the HSN.Com product detail and appreciate your input as well Candace.
As a gourmet cook I know from experience that the maximum weight should be listed for safety sake, but I seen that neither HSN nor Curtis Stone listed the maximum weight.
Candace I rather buy from a company that cares about safety when selling to Consumers, and lists an important detail like the maximum amount of weight this glass portable burner can accept, and that information should also be displayed in writing per the Manufacturer’s input.
I do not care to endanger the person who would receive this as a gift, by not being able to tell them the maximum weight this item accepts per the written information the Manufacturer should have included under the Product order detail, along with the actual name of the Manufacturer of this item.
Safety first Candance, so I will buy from an Internet Company where they actual list all the important details for electrical items and do not omit very important details ;ike the maximum weight this item was manufactured to accept.
Candace if other vendors can list the maximum weight I see no reason that Chef Curtis Stone, and HSN cannot, so I will buy elsewhere, where that informaiton is included and clearly written in under the product details, just to remain safe, when the item is given as a gift.
Thanks again Candace, but sorry this time for very valid reasons…”no sale”.

, the weight capacity of 509-846 is not a specification commonly listed for cooktops. I’ll let our Merchants know this detail is important to you. You can make a determination by the recommended capacity. Volume weight plus any pot or pan with a flat bottom ranging between 5-1/2″ to 9″ diameter. Volume content that is suitable for boiling, steaming, deep frying, stir-frying, sautéing, searing, slow cooking or grilling. A warranty contact is included in the product manual information with your order. I hope this will help.
