Hi
I am not an expert as I do not make greeting cards and sell them. I am only a hobbyist.:smileyhappy:
I have checked out these two products. Are you just cutting card stock? As both these hand cranked machines cut a verity of material.
I have a product description for both and it is price and half a dozen of one and a half a dozen of the other. I found the ones you are inquiring about the price range is similar with the Spellbinders being a bit more in price. One has five stars and the other has 2.5 stars. in review.
The cuttle bug has the 5 stars where as the spell binders has 2.5 stars. You can do a search for other place out on the net that sells different versions of the same products and read the reviews.
Cricut Cuttlebug™ Version 3 with Embossing and Cutting Mats
522-132If you are only cutting card at this time then I think I would go with the cuttle bug with that said it claims to cut different materials as well. Both machines also emboss.
There is a spellbinder that is much more in price that claims it uses many standard dies I would think from other companies. As does the cuttle bug.
I may self use an electronic die cutting machine. For my purpose I prefer to have all my designs in one place instead of having to purchase dies and have to store them.
I read in one review a person has a cricut and she stated her cuttle bug and cricut work hand in hand. With this all said I do not own either of these products and have not used either item.
I am only going by the reviews and product description that I have read. I look to reviews and even if the other item sounds like a magnificent item and only has a few stars then I take my purpose of the item in to consideration. if I see 5 stars and excellent reviews then I am more apt to go with that item.
This is just all my humble opinion I am not an expert just a hobbyist.
