Wow, there are a lot of different interpretations on this subject so I’m going to recommend either asking a Chat rep and getting a transcript of that sent to your email

OR

if you call CS get the name and ID # of the CS rep and the reference # associated with your call because they keep notations of the call.

Simply ask “what is the item return date please”.

Possibly the website answer is unclear therefor up to too much interpretation.

I recommend that anyone not sure about how the returns work, to check the website, and/or ask a CS in the help section so that you don’t run into confusion when trying to return your packages.

Just to clarify as I’ve done this in this past.

I was returning an item and checked with CS to see if I was within the 30 day date of RECIEPT of the package. I ordered it on June 23 and was told I had till Aug 23. Meaning the package has to be at HSN on Aug 23 and not in transit.

If you need to know exactly when the item is required to be back at HSN just call CS and ASK. They will give you a date. You’ll see there’s an grace period allowance.

Thank you Gize for getting out this information!  I have had so many items with extended delivery this summer, so the order date and delivery date are weeks apart.  I also wondered how to know my return range of days.  Now I know, so I can make sure I don’t lose money returning something too late!  I am glad to know how to view my delivery date in my order history.  I learn something new everyday here in our community!

This isn’t how it has worked for me over the years.  Unless there is a new policy, I will go with what the moderators have indicated here.  Thirty days from the date of receipt.

Even though I know I have 30 days from the time the item arrived on my doorstep to return it, I always try to keep myself on track by returning it before, close to, or on the 30 days to the date I actually purchased the item, this way I’m never late returning.

? ? are correct. it’s 30 days from “date delivered.”  when a product is returned the package label is scanned, so they know it’s coming. there is consideration for travel time. there are also special situations, such as the extended return policy during the holidays. but to return, with money back…30 days from “delivery date” to “scanned date of return” at the post office or ups. :heart:

The policy is  the buyer has 30 days to return the item after they receive .  It must be  sent back  no later than 30 days after it is delivered.

The FACT is  tracking provides when it delivered and when it is sent back .

It has never been from purchase date , it is 30 days from  delivery day to return day — the limit is 30 days  for most purchases .

  Nothing has changed that has always been the policy

 After  it is delivered  you have 30 days to get it sent back  if you decide not to keep your purchase ,   NOT   60 days from purchase date .

Rare  castrophopic conditions  such as   a flood , earthquake , massive hailstones , blizzard  may ALTER  the delivery date   WHENEVER it delivers   you have 30 days to  send it back .

I don’t think this is correct and its going to cause big problems for people if they try to follow this..

Clearly states in the return info….

you may return the item within 30 days of the date of receipt

That is a great deal of good infirmation there.  How many times have we all said, ‘it has been 30 days already.” meaning from when we first ordered.  Thank you for all this knowledge.
