How do some people win twice in a week HSN?
I don’t mean to sound ungrateful ….. because I love the games…. Well the ones I am ok at. Could someone from HSN explain how winners are picked? I mean how does someone win twice in a week when millions with millions of tickets never win? Are there any clue’s as to when and how many of your tickets you should put on a prize? All at once or spread them out? At the beginning or right before it is about to end? Thank you!

Thanks Lizzie. I didn’t know that you can enter filing out a form. I thought it was just the box you click on for the number of tickets. I am always learning something new from the people in the community . Thanks to everyone who helps out us beginners.

I have only won once 14 months ago. However, it was a $250 set of stainless steel cookware that I really wanted. One thing I do even though I have over a million tickests in reserve is; I only enter for the items that I really want and leave the rest for those that would really like those items. I could enter the maximum tickets every week accross the board but I am not interested in winning prizes that I would not appreciate having. I know this narrows my chance of winning but why win something I am not interested in just to win. I am glad others have won more than once as that gives me hope that I might win again sometime in the future.

Hello Tishey9!
Excellent question! I too wondered the same thing myself. I hadn’t thought about putting it out there like you did. Wish I had thought of it. I’ve been shopping here for a few years, but I’m really a newby here in the community. I just had to tell you, thank you for thinking and asking about this. I really just started using up my tickets for items and wondered myself which way was better to use my tickets. Also, thank you to all who commented. It was good information.
Have a blessed day! 😉

Oh I hate poofing posts…let’s try this again.
?, the way they explained it before is that it is randomly computer drawn.
And just like lotto, powerball, bingo, slot machines, some people seem to be luckier than others, and seem to win more often. But don’t give up because you never know when your luck will happen.
And seeing repeat winners, to me, makes it seem more honest, rather than seeing everyone standing in line with their hands out to recieve their GIFT, not prize. That potentially means you could never win again, so why bother with tickets.
I did win last year 2x after playing for 4-5 years. I tried all different methods of putting tickets in, now I just put them all in at once and early, just so I don’t forget to put them in!
Good luck to you Tishey9 and hope you win soon.

It’s just the luck of the draw. I’ve won 4 times over about 3 1/2 years, but I know people who have never won. Most recently I’ve been entering 1 entry at a time, dividing them up over the course of the drawing period and entering at different times of day. I’ve used various methods over the years, so I’m not sure that any work any better than others. People have reported winning with both alternate entries and via ticket entry.
Based on the Laws of Probability it shouldn’t matter how you enter. The reason I started entering the way I do now is that someone suggested that maybe the picks were based on the time of the entry and that is why some people win 2 prizes in 1 set of drawings. HSN has never said how they choose–and undoubtedly never will–other than to say that each sweepstakes is an independent drawing.
