Double winner again
I reallly have little expectation of winning anything here, so this is not sour grapes – but I do wonder how the drawings work. I just noticed that in the 5/21 drawing "dawsonsgirl" won two items. I have seen a player win multiple items in one drawing on more than one occasion. That seems statistically improbable. I am just curious as to what method they use to select winners. Anyway – congrats dawsonsgirl!

Enjoy the win!

Congrats foxylady270 on your win this week of prizes AND last week of prizes! With thousands, maybe a million players entering their tickets for these 18 at most 20 prizes a week, you have won both weeks! What is your secret?

I read that winning a prize here is like the lottery. Well if the odds are so high and that’s true, then I think HSN should give out more of each price so that more people win. It behooves them to keep players interested and coming back and not getting discouraged and quitting. I have made purchases just because I got online to bet my points and ended up buying something. And although I play games, I also go online just to keep track of what items I can bet on. Just sharing HSN…

I have hit 5 out of 6 numbers, and many pick 3 and 4 st and boxed, when its time you will know:

At work I came closest to guessing the amount of candy in a bowl. Yay! Except winning 383 pieces of candy really didn’t do me any favors :womanhappy:

Thanks Cindy819 I thought it was how fast you did the puzzle didn’t realize it is luck of the draw also.

if you don’t look for a win, and do not want a certain cheaper prize, don’t enter, just enter the Grand Prizes, or whatever you like, Everyone has a chance, so be happy, smile, play, shop, enter not to win, but for fun, I never enter to win:) I have a better chance at winning Megbucks for only $2.00, poof going to buy some, Just joking … enjoy playing and wish you all good luck:)

Lucky I quess just happy for all the winners and players enjoy the games :smileyhappy:

Can’t win a dare thing many many points down the drain. Still trying why not is just going to happen I quess later than sonner. Don’t give up players good luck to all.:smileyhappy:

Don’t feel bad all the prizes are not fantastic I have won 2 before though not at one time suppose it depends on how many people enter. Think it is luck the puzzles well I probably will never win that those people must be really fast. congrats

I agree with all the post regarding the winners, but my question too as an add on is do all the winners have a membership for HSN? It doesn’t state this anywhere as to who is eligible for prizes, and it does appear to be unfair that there are multible winners with the same name.. If this is supposed to be computer generated according to the rules over 1 yr ago, I myself find it very odd that these people would be winners again & again… I do want to Congratulate the winners :smileyhappy:

Congrats to the double winner! I think that’s awesome you won twice!
-
I don’t see where it says how winners are chosen in your help link.. They have to have hundreds or hundreds of thousands of entries per drawing. It is impossible for the same people to keep winning all of the time. It is suspicious.
Can you give us an idea how many people on average enter the drawings?
-
If there were 2 intries and I was one the other person would win every time, I am just not lucky in winning prizes .

These are all independent drawings. Just like there are people who win the lottery more than once, there will be people who win the drawings here more than once.
The fact that you win one drawing does not affect your chances to win another. If there are 1 million tickets entered for a drawing and you enter 10, your chances of winning that drawing are 10 in 1 million. (And 1 million entries is not inconceivable since HSN has said there are over 1 million players in the arcades.) If you do that for 10 different drawings, your chances of winning each drawing are still 10 in 1 million. Even if you win the first drawing, your chances of winning the second drawing are still 10 in 1 million. Etc.
I won twice within a space of a short time about 2 years ago. I haven’t won anything in the drawings since. It’s purely the luck of the draw.
The only way to prevent anyone winning multiple times would be to limit the wins to one per person per period of time. The problem with that is 1. No one would want to enter for the lesser items so HSN would either have to curtail the number of drawings or take a hit in the cost of the prizes; and 2. If people see the rewards as a reason to play in the arcade (and watch HSN at the same time with their streaming), they would have no reason to continue playing until they were eligible to win again. That could put a serious dent in HSN’s bottom line. Obviously all of us don’t play just because we want to win–especially since you can enter without playing; but it still could cause a significant problem for HSN.
