has anyone read anything, or used or taken anything for arthritis in the fingers, that was helpful. i am online every night looking and reading, but it is like no one in the medical world seems to think fingers are an important subject. yes i have been to two doctors. thanks

I have been taking a prescription medicine, actually for arthritis in my feet, that has really helped the arthritis in my hands. It’s Meloxicam, generic. However, I have developed a rash that can be a side effect and will have to stop taking it. It helps with inflammation and was wonderful, if I could just get past the rash.
Before that, the only things that helped were over the counter gels and creams that contain arnica, which is an herb and apparently used a lot in Europe for pain, inflammation and bruising. Arnicare is one that’s easy to find. Penetrex is another that is easy to find. Vitamin Shoppe stores carry another one that has 2% arnica, double what’s in the others. That one is Hyland’s Muscle Therapy. These are by far the best help for arthitis I’ve found that don’t require a prescription and I haven’t seen any side effects from them at all. I hope this helps.

I use 2% Pennsaid, the generic is diclofenac sodium and is not expensive at all if you have insurance. I too have arthritis in my fingers.

Hi!
Research Gin Soaked Raisins. I personally know many people that have been helped by them. Also research foods that trigger inflammation. Changing your diet may help too. Best Wishes!
