any A.L. remedy for chronic back pain?
Hello friends, I decided to ask you if any of you had any luck with Andrew Lessman’s products for chronic back pain, because I am at my wits end! For 15 years I have suffered searing pain and nothing works to relieve it except opioid pain meds. I have degenerative disc disease and also pain from nerve damage itself. I just bought 400 dollars worth of A.L. products including omega 3, and glucosamine/chondroitin. I hope I didn’t over do it because that is a huge amount of money for me. But with free shipping and reduced prices, this is the best time to buy. Thanks for listening!

Hi Skittles, thank you for your kind words, it is very comforting. I have tried massage, but my pain is not muscular, so it did not help. I even got this back pain kit with little balls that you lay on and that is supposed to be a kind of massage, but it made the pain even worse, so I gave that up. Along with accupuncture, chiropractic, decompression, (which cost an arm an a leg) inversion therapy in which I bought a table that turns you upside down, yoga, pilates, physical therapy, herbs, and daily prayer. I still pray of course, but it is so hard to live in a state of prolonged misery! Thank you for listening, I don’t want to feel sorry for myself, we all have problems and many have much greater problems than I do. I am just trying to find a solution because the fda and dea are making it hard for the doctors to prescribe pain medicine, and my doctor wants me to start reducing the pain meds I take even though I have built up a tolerance and they don’t even work so well anymore. What the bureaucrats are trying to do to people that have legitimate chronic pain by not allowing us to have pain medicine is cruel and inhumane. Yes, they have to try and reduce the country’s addiction to opioid pain meds, but they are targeting the people that truly need them in order to function and live, along with the people that take them for recreational purposes! Several people with horrible pain have commited suicide because they were denied pain medicine by doctors worried about their licenses. They were unfortunate people with a horrible and painful disease, who basically had their treatment abruptly stopped. Ended up in the hospital because of withdrawal effects which can be life threatening. Then, left out in the cold with untreated pain. I guess the bureaucrats, who make up these asinine laws, should feel what it is like to suffer this pain for 5 minutes. Then they could grow some empathy.

Thank you Posh 52! I have had a bunch of MRI’s but they do not show spinal stenosis according to who read them! But it feels as if the nerves are being touched by bulging discs in the front area, not on the back or sides of the spine. I think I have that. But also the discs are messed up, and they have their own kind of pain, but the sick cold pain I have could only be nerve. I am so happy that your husband is finally free from pain. The surgeons said no surgery would get rid of my back pain, unless disc replacement, but that has too many problems itself, so it is not recommended. So now here I am with pain that is not helped by pain meds anymore unless I take extra, and I can’t do that unless it’s unbearable. I wish I could have the surgery and results your husband had, how I wish it. I think they should open up my spinal canal anyway, even though they say it won’t work for me. Something has to work, I really can’t stand this anymore.

I was curious if you have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis. I know you don’t want to hear this but my husband had nerves trapped from stenosis and he tried epidurals etc. but the bottom line was nothing would help short of surgery. In his case, he had his spinal canal “opened” and herniated discs repaired and some arthritis removed. He was blessed that minimally invasive surgery with a 1 1/2 inch incision took care of his problem. He went back to work after 1 week but had to be careful for 6 weeks. He is now pain free. By the way, he came home the same day. No vitamins would have helped him. Everyone has a different diagnosis and most certainly surgery is a last resort but it was the answer to his problem. He also had a very proficient surgeon. I hope you can find what works for your pain. The body can be wonderful at healing itself but in my husband’s case, nothing else would have solved his problem. Good luck!!!

Sorry your in pain, darling.
Have you tried massage? It helps with pain and inflammation. Of course, talk to your before starting anything for your diagnosis.
