Clean & not so pure water filter scam.
Why is a scam like this being sold? It is going to fill up with dirt and whatever pretty quickly. And things will start to grow inside. It’s a fraud & a scam on people making this fake claims. Pure lies. HSN endorses scamming people?
Really? What happens to all it filters? Does it magically disappear? No, it will plug up and or stop filtering long before the fraudulent claims. This isn’t even safe after a relatively short period of time. I wish the Government would hurry up and go after these scammers, taking them long enough.
Making Fake scamming claims like this is not legal. They need to give everyone their money back.

We live in the Las Vegas area and the water tastes awful. We purchased a reverse osmosis system for our drinking water. (You can also purchase a whole house application.) We have a water softener that uses potassium and not salt. We’re happy with our purchases.

Hsn just does not care. No way this thing does anything it says, all bull.
And after a short time inside will be gross if not hazardous. Let alone 25 years!
WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE TO CHANGE ALL OTHER FILTERS?!?
Because the fill up with garbage and stuff begins to grow inside.
Just waht happens, Nothing can change that.
What a friggin scam!
Can’t beleive in this day n age people can so easily scam people.

We bought our Clean & Pure Water Filter for our vacation home since we have a well. I love it. Our water tastes great and is looks sparkling clean. Been using for a couple of years. It has paid for itself over and over since we don’t have to buy bottled water. If anyone is worried, take a sample of your water to a water testing store such as Culligan or Absopure. Your health department might also be able to test the water. When we put a new well in at our vacation home, it was required by state law to send in a water sample upon completion. It cost $8 to have the sample tested.

I have been thinking of buying a whole house filtration system because we live in the country and thus our water is as unfiltered as you can imagine! Does anyone have a suggestion as to brand?
As to the person who started this post please please just stop with the old “hsn is scamming people” tirade as I am kind of sick of paranoid talk. It is irritating. It would have been much better to state the SCIENTIFIC rebuttal instead of the “HSN IS SCAMMING”. What makes you the expert? What part of filtration is a scam? Do you have proof of the actual claims you are making too?
Stand by your word too you know. Just prove what you say is true too.

That is a good point about possible bacteria. On Dr. Oz today he talked about hidden household mold; We should think about mold and bacteria. When I bought my Clean & Pure I knew it was being sold as to filter out chlorine. I can’t tolerate chlorine. It makes me light-headed and feel sick to my stomach. Chlorine is a toxin and experts say it is an outdated method to kill pathogens in water. You can read Dr. Andrew Weil on this topic. The Clean and Pure does make my water smell chlorine free, but lately I am worried about lead in the water (from its journey in pipes from the filtration facility to my sink faucet) and am thinking about replacing it with a reverse osmosis sytem which is supposed to be the best method.
We should all be thinking about toxic metals and pharmaceuticals in our water supply. Yes, pharmaceuticals like hormones and psychoactive medications that people excrete and go into our water and do not get filtered out at filtration centers. :womansurprised:This is all searchable online.

Do you have any actual scientific research to back up your claims or are thry just idle speculation?

I used to used water filtration only because a friend was selling them, and I was trying to support him. I stopped using them though, because I started thinking. I’m prone to start thinking once in a while.
But the local government treats drinking water to guard against lead and other contaminants. So, what is being filtered out? Is there a need to this level of filtration and is some of the ‘good stuff’ being filtered out? I don’t know, but I decided I /we were better off without it.

Where do you get your info? Before making these claims you should provide proof.
I’m one of the millions? of purchasers who have bought these filters. I have no idea whether they really will last as long as they say, but for the price it will last me long enough.
If nothing else, it certainly makes the water taste good,
And I’m not the only one. Very good reviews.
