The Fitbit HR
I bought the HR Fitbit as a TSV. I read yesterday that the company is being sued due to lack of accuracy on it’s heart monitoring.
I also read that Fitbit has been hit by hackers who are stealing information from users.
Not good, people!

roxy13 thanks for your review,my experience with the fitbit hr is a bit different so thought I would post about my experience. I received it on 1/13. Got it synced (in full disclosure, my teenage daughter did it all in a very short time) and started wearing it that night. I have worn it since. I have found the sleep tracking and steps (compared with my pedometer) to be very accurate. I think the data it’s gathering will be a good baseline. Several of my friends at work have a fitbit hr and we started walking at lunch together so it is motivating me to move more. I have not had to recharge it yet. In fact, my husband is jealous and wants one. I didn’t think he would like it or would have also ordered him one when it was a today’s special. HSN is currently sold out so looking around to find him one.

Here’s’ an update on the Fitbit HR – I finally received mine after 7 days. I was able to sync it with no problem. If you read the forum on the Fitbit site, lots of users have lots of problems trying to sync this device.
What wasn’t said during the presentation all day long is that this tracker does not work on a treadmill, does not work on a stationery bike. Since I do most of my winter walking on a treadmill, this did not work for me – I would not have purchased it had I known. The battery is supposed to last for 5 days – mine needed charging after 24 hours. The forums say that you can increase battery life by not using the heart monitor – really? THen why spend money on a fitbit with a heart monitor!
Also, I tracked my usual outdoor walk yesterday and the Fitbit was totally off.
I sent it back.
