Minnetonkas
Minnetonkas are so very comfortable that they are my favorite footwear. After months and months of daily use, I wore out my last pair and haven’t been able to afford new ones. I bought the last pair in South Dakota while on vacation 13 years ago and got them at a fantastic price. HSN’s prices are held steady and although you might get free shipping, the moccasins don’t ever seem to truly be marked down. I have a limited income, and can only make purchases on necessary items that are on clearance. I doubt I’ll ever find my Minnetonkas in that section, sad to say.

I once had a pair of Minnetonkas that I wore for almost 20 years until they fell apart!! Loved them. I bought a pair for my husband from the Q 2 years ago and within 3 months they came unglued! I was very upset and couldn’t get any refund because it was past the 30 days. I called Minnetonka & explained the situation & they told me the only way they are guaranteed is if you buy them directly from them so now if I buy anymore which I probably will I will buy them directly from the company. I get emails from them weekly so I am waiting on a sale. So sad they don’t make them here in the US anymore where they should be made.

I’m sorry that Minnetonkas haven’t worked for some of you for one reason or another. I guess, like with any other shoe, it’s difficult to get the right size when you’re ordering through the internet. I wish they’d allow shipping reimbursement when you have to send them back if the sizing is off. If they did, I think more people would order and be happy with their purchases.

I got mine & wore them around the house didn’t notice under the fringe the whipstitching wasn’t tied off and was unraveling…so now there’s a hole.
No support either and the fringe isn’t cut with any expertise. Also I sized down 1/2 a size so they do run big.
Upon further investigation I saw most of the shoe is glued & the tag inside says they are made in the Dominican Republic!
Isn’t this a family run business that makes them in Minnesota?
What a disappointment!
I’ve already called CS and am returning them w/out paying return shipping.

I just put in my Minnetonka order.
I was disappointed the current coupons would not work on them.

I just received my Minnetonka El Paso II Suede Fringe Moccasins in a size 6. They are HUGE, more like a 7! The CS rep told me to get a 6 when I inquired about sizing.
They look better online than they do in person, anyways. Back they go!!
I have had to return a lot lately, and I know that counts against me, but things just aren’t meeting my expectations. :smileyfrustrated:

I remember buying the classic Mocs in 1979….. I stopped buying them in the 90’s because….I just did. Never tried the boots. I’m glad to see they’re still around as SO many companies have gone under since my youth.

If you go to the Minnentonka website you’ll find a collaboration with Rebecca Minkoff for several styles. You can buy directly from the website too.
Enjoy, ladies. I’ll stick with I have for this year. Not buying any footwear um, er, welllll. No…I’m not. LOL.

I like Minnetonkas, but unfortunately, I have a wide foot and they don’t make them to fit me. But as for the prices, they are comparable even on Amazon, I checked. They might be a few dollars less, but by in by not much difference in price. Besides you get what you pay for and Minnetonkas are made very well. If you want extra padding, just add an insert.

Minnetonkas have gone up in price no matter where you purchase them. They are made well and do last long. My only problem is that I have a wide food and they only sell medium width. I’m hoping that the suede will stretch to accommodate my foot. FYI, I priced some similar moccasins at a reputable ladies store and the moccasins were way more expensive than the Minnetonkas. If you need cushioning, there are always inserts that you can put in them.
I ordered the moccasins and can’t wait for them to come.

Personally, I can’t stand Minnetonka footwear… way too expensive and, with zero cushioning, not worth the price. You can get them over at QVC… they often have them on-sale and with flex-pay.
I found a pair here at HSN last year, but they were sold-out in my size, so, I went over to the Q and they had them too, (so did Amazon, by the way!). Same brand, same model. Alas, when I got them, they were so uncomfortable, I was shocked at the utter lack of cushioning. Couldn’t send them back fast enough.
So far, I’ve found the Lamo and BareTraps brands at the Q very cushy…
Also, Dawgs over at Evine…
And, 143 Girls over at JCP…

I’m always wanting navy blue casual shoes, so #487-875 would be perfect for me…but they’re out of my size in navy. (shoot).
I’ll wait & see if they get more in.

I enjoyed the presentation with Helen Keaney.
I think I’m going to buy a pair. Thanks for all the info everyone!

Unfortunately, Minnetonkas are a restricted brand, meaning u cannot use coupons on them! :smileymad:

Thanks for reminding me about Minnetonkas! They are CLASSIC. I am going to order the Minnetonka El Paso II Suede Fringe Moccasin. It will be my first pair ever.
What do u think? I wear a lot of black and am not matchy-matchy. Do they run true to size? Will I need to care for them a special way?

I love Minnetonkas! I currently have 2 pairs, gray and white (like Pookie’so picture). I need to replace one pair soon. They are so comfortable and last for years without babying them. I don’t think the traditional styles ever go on sale anywhere. The prices have remained pretty much the same, give or take $5.00, for the last 20 years.
